Her arrogance lead her assume she could do absolutely nothing for years toward patreon and it would carry on as normal. She was right tbh.
Last night I was watching a NI youtuber with about 750 patrons. She hasn't done anything on it for a couple of months due to personal circumstances. But on a recent video thanked her patrons, acknowledged it was a major source of income and promised Q & A's just for them with other exclusive interviews. And her lowest official tier is £1. Personally I don't get why anyone would, but as long as the recipient is honest and open, then each to their own.
Jack completely over promised things, then didn't have the gumption or humility to pare it all down and make it manageable. For two years.

The question is did her lies and failure to switch it off 24 times and refusal to refund every day for about 700 days prove dishonest intent. Only a jury can decide that. With the continued lies, refusal to refund, failure to provide goods and taking money whilst being available to swan around to conference and parties, if it was me I would be looking to get as much mitigation and contrition in as possible. Switch it off, refund the lot (with options to repay direct to a foodbank or to me as a donation), and stop posting. Same for charity donations, although I would ask Charity Commission and Fundraising Regulator for guidance to try and get a safe harbour, as they would rather give permission to redirect donations to undo the mess than burn up resource on compliance or enforcement. Providing the goods would waste time needed to establish a new career so doesn't help anyone.

January 2019, don’t think I’d registered that before! Just WTF was LJC thinking?! I’m assuming that as she’s not “deliciously ordinary” she was following Jack on all (or enough of) her socials and could see the entire shitshow Jack continuously unfurls.

The memoir is still showing on Amazon. I'm nearly as obsessed with that as I am with Iqbal. I just can't believe we've come this far and the result is I get cheated out of what would probably be the funniest book ever written.

I think her most recent contract with Bluebird was supposed to cover three books - household tips, her pov story, and whatever-it-is she's supposed to be writing about post-GFC austerity policy. I wouldn't want to bet on that contract ever being carried out in full, though...

Mind you, 'Untitled Jack Monroe Memoir - 14 Sept. 2023' is still listed on Amazon, for whatever that's worth.

To produce cookbooks you have to write recipes and she can’t be arsed to do that. Although ostensibly she still has “A Girl Called Slop” coming out next year
