But it's deeply associated with gay men. "When people go on about it" sounds suspiciously like not wanting to acknowledge homosexuality to me.
It’s also deeply associated with heterosexual porn where young teenage boys then pressure girls to do it and treat them like they are prudes if they don’t want to do it.

I don’t really like hearing the details about anyone’s sexual practices to be honest, especially not on a thread about Jack Monroe 😂.

FFS drop it. Plenty of straight people do too and I don’t want to hear about that.

Same goes for loads of other sexual practice. You don’t get to tell people what their earhole boundaries are on a thread unrelated to sex.

A huge fan of the list but it’s very, very improbable those boots would have cost £200 when sold by Joules. Amazon’s pricing is a mess and is why their fashion category has never done well, they dynamically price based on stock left so that suggests that they only have a few units hence the price being so high and they also have nefarious ninnies reselling highstreet stuff. Looking at Joules’ website their non leather Chelsea boots retail at £99.95. Appreciate it’s only £100 out of £130k+ but I’ve heard ur a forensic man 😉
Well spotted htria 🕵️‍♀️
You're completely right about amazon, I checked the price but missed it was also amazon 🤦‍♂️

Got them at £120 on Joules or the exact ones for £150 on another website, so I'll call it £120 ✍

It reminds me very much of 'Billy' (played by Hugh Lloyd) in one of the Victoria Wood: As Seen On TV documentaries.

"You can put a lot by if you only have a tin of butter beans and a potato..."

He liked spaghetti 'oops too.

"They make a piece of toast very interesting do 'oops".

Makes you think... 🤔

Totally understand where you're coming from As I've 🔺️ before I'm a furniture frau (especially fabric/upholstery etc) I've been doing a wee bit of research and joules recent range in leather with small ocelot panel were approx £120. Add that this type of product is usually pelt or horse hair so more expensive than standard leather I think its safe to say that they retailed around 120-135 (possibly a little more

ETA: @That Forensic Man beat me too it.
Chapeau dear heart x

anyway moving on.

In the excitement of the slopalong I hadn’t noticed how quiet she’s been the last couple of days. I really do think she’s been WARNED not to get into any tit.

I went on the X Factor as part of a "tit group" so my best friend could get on the telly. We went through three rounds of auditions and had multiple calls to make sure we were tv material. I can see Jack getting on as a narcissism fool, or through her fabricated sob story.
Soapstars Frau here (early 2000’s if I remember correctly) to be part of a family on Emmerdale. I was atrocious, as a Southern Irish 🔺woman with a fake Yorkshire accent.. but my little ‘story’ got me on the bloody show!

Omfg. Me and my nan LOVED that show. I particularly loved the evil orange haired judge.

I’m so sorry that my comment made the thread take a turn for the worse.

On a lighter note (and still on the topic of ‘hands’ 🤔 too soon?) I absolutely borked when I read this in that Guardian article “Also, I’m very touchy-feely when I cook, so my son sees me with my hands in food all the time, sticking my fingers into pots and pans, tasting cake mix.”

Like….ewww…use utensils like a normal person you absolute meff.

I’ve actually seen those leopard boots on the Joules website before and I’m fairly sure they were £120.
Thankyou tender one, it's quite eye opening when you consider just the Dr Marten style boots:

£180 Dr Martens 2976 alyson wintergrip chelsea boots brown
£120 Dr Martens willow edition boots
£120 Dr Martens red boots
£189 Dr Martens sinclair boots black
£120 Joules womens westbourne luxe chelsea boots brown ocelot
Total £729
(Shoe total £5087)

It just makes a complete joke of the 'vimes boots index' when the entire premise is how well off people can afford to buy ONE pair of spenny boots instead of poorer people having no option but to buy five pairs of cheap boots
Jack buys FIVE pairs of (essentially the same) spenny boots 🤷‍♀️
My brain cannot process this level of second hand cognitive dissonance
She's having a laugh at everyone's expense

ETA I do need to circle back to the £4k antique chair and a couple of other things so to whoever raised those I'm not ignoring you x
