If a psychiatrist or educational psychologist came to their house, her parents would almost certainly have paid for it privately. Why pay for a diagnosis to help your child get support, then pretend it never happened? Bullshit.

Plus, there's no way SB's paternal family wouldn't know that she'd sold his toys or didn't have light bulbs as his dad picked him up and returned - at such a young age, he would have brought him into the house. If it were so bad, I doubt he'd have brought him back to live like that, and likely to contact social services. Live with a loving father who can feed him and light the roof over his head without selling his child's things, or with a mother embracing poverty porn? No brainer, even temporarily. I have no doubt that they would also have contacted her family to tell them, given that they all appear to live locally.I think she said she was too ashamed to seek help. In this context, I'd rather swallow my pride and avoid selling my child's favourite cuddly toy dinosaur but there we are.

Sounds spot on! genuine, helpful, actually sounds like my kitchen set up. I have an Instant Pot too that helps. The swede/squash thing, I microwave then whole for 6 minutes or so, makes it easier to cut. You could try the hitting a cleaver with a mallet technique I used to cut things up when my right hand was in plaster.View attachment 174982

Could use frozen - a bag of peas or butternut squash isn't that esoteric - and it's handy to put the excess soup in there ready for 'I can't be fucking arsed' days.

I called the repair team. The repair man came out and went mad at me.
The flame on the pilot light was white and not blue and he said you should have known. I didn’t.
What saved me oddly enough was the fact that this flat is old and the windows don’t close properly in every room.
My ex landlord has been putting carbon monoxide detectors in their homes for at least ten years now.
