As DW and his team are being very quiet, I wonder if thatās got to do with them consulting legal expertises over the situation? Also, someone earlier mentioned DM Unusually moderating comments, that could also be down to possible legal action in progress.

I'm starting to wonder that myself. He is an easy target at the moment having come under fire recently for his other work and I agree it is definitely racist and he should be called out. They way Jack has done it though is almost identical to the Jamie Oliver saga and as per usual lacking in evidence. Tweet some slightly indignant thoughts/opinions to garner support. Then tweet something much more inflammatory and enjoy/encourage a pile on with vile comments including violence. Then swiftly delete and act contrite/slightly daft/ blame it on condition 534 and somehow after rolling in all that tit she comes out smelling of roses. On the surface at least. Scratch it and we will find the Tattle threads, Lime Goss article and followers little by little deserting their former heroine.Was this whole DW thing pre-planned?

Personally I've always considered it quite.....a tory......thing to say? Like pulling yourself up by the bootstraps absolves the state/society of responsibility for the systemic injustices that land people in tit positions in the first place, and if you do manage to 'bootstrap' yourself to success (saying this as someone who has completely done just that) it's largely due to privileges you have, and luck? It's not something to be proud of, like everyone deserves a decent life regardless of how much bootstrapping they did or didn't do. It's always made me feel uncomfortable but again, she likely grew up in a home where her parents held those sorts of beliefs considering their gr8 financial position?

I swear I read somewhere that she chose Bootstrap for that very reason. It's meant to be a dig at the Tories telling people to pull themselves up by their bootstraps in addition to being similar to 'shoestring' I think.
@heretoreaditall2019 I completely agree re Tory undertones to the 'bootstrap' phrasing. It's an easy way to disregard the actual societal disadvantages/privileges people face from the moment they're born.
