Tender ones, I come from ten pages back to let you know that the elitist pigs at my local Asda had no tinned stewing steak. I am devastated.
Can you scrape out the inside of a fray bentos pie? You could save the flaccid top bit to make a nice sardines en croute or pasty with.

*for the record, I do not think you should make Three Tin Tender, but if you are set on this reckless course of action, I must insist that once made, you do not eat it.

One part of her self-love loving that struck me was how she was reading out an excerpt of the book, detailing how her life is pretty much pain, as she sat there, slouched in an easy chair, legs crossed, with her ankle whizzing her foot about.

FORSENIC level of irony there.

OG nod.

Bit like the Dennis club D.I.N.G
Shall we get some ham flavoured crisps whilst we wait for our tea?
I am still a bit miffed that Jack is still getting exposure at a book event tbh. Aren't there any relevant or more experienced authors who would have 'peeled' their eyes out with a rusty spoon to get this level of publicity?

Another random thought. I’ve no idea if people are actually hanging out bin bags or not, but it strikes me that if they are then they’re mitigating the effects of the strike to an extent, so it’s not really a form of solidarity with the essential labour of the workers, more a form of scab labour.

I forgot amidst all this chaos, but today was one for the fraus to remember! There was a piece about GoHenry on R4 at lunchtime. I popped into the kitchen (where our singular DAB radio resides) and OH (who is real) started telling me all about the Ts & C's and how he couldn't understand why anyone would pay for it! I was like;

Hi there! Out of interest, are you especially interested in Jack because you've come across her IRL or know anyone who knows her?

There's so many grifters on twitter I imagine you'd have to be quite selective about which ones you choose to focus on, so tell us your origin story if you feel like it!
Not personally met her, but she crossed into my path when I was locking horns with some other middle-class pseudo-cosplayers a few years back.

It's a bit off topic, but ACORN the Union is very very fishy in that they are 99% white, middle-class socialists who habitually protest outside Asian landlords private homes - a close neighbour and his family was hounded out of his house by them, and they also recently had to pay £100k damages to another local landlord for harassment.
Off the back of this, the local Corbynista tried to dogpile and doorstep me.
A number of my neighbours are also of Jewish heritage and warned me about the people I was tangling with, as where I live is a well-known hotbed of anti-Semitism.

Her two-faced grift riles me to the core in the same way that so-called "anti-racist" racists do..

I think we share a similar political outlook. Plus, anything that pisses off middle-class pseudo-cosplayers is good stuff in my book.

Don't wanna derail this thread with direct convo so I'll leave it there. But thanks for all that you do!

Can we also all agree that these shoes are a lot less clompy and
No need to feel sad. It is not like they are ever going to cook anything from them.
Haha, you make a good point.

Earnest people just get me right here. But I should remember these are the people enabling the first!

The TV people wanted her in fancy massive kitchens and didn't appreciate her mushy peas.

It's this tier of Jack Monroe's Patreon that they've been paying £24 + VAT a month for.

I'm involved with a small charity that works in Malawi, we sponsor children so they can complete their education as you have to pay to attend secondary school there. I like it as we sponsor quite a lot of girls, the more educated girls are, the less likely they are to be married off very young with all that entails.

It costs £25 a month, to give young people a future that was beyond their wildest dreams. The same as she is charging.

That is what really upsets me.

If they don't like the idea of education, it costs the same to provide a stove that is efficient and safer than traditional ones freeing women (it's usually women) of the risks of smoke inhalation, burns and spending all day tending it. As it uses less fuel it means less deforestation and more money too spend on other things.

Or you could give to our sanitary project where we give reusable sanitary pads out to girls so they stay in school, and the ladies that make them receive a living wage. That would keep them going for a few weeks

Or you could spend the same and buy trees for local communities to plant to help them.

You could do so much good with 25 quid a month, or you can give it to as lying grifter who spends it on designer dogs, 6 alarm clocks, a new Apple phone and countless spoons. I know who I like to give to.

In response to the 24 quid squig tweet. I quite like the cut of red squig’s jib.

Edited as just noticed that in a fit of Jackesque ineptitude I hadn’t squigged everything.

Ah yes, I gave them money a while back seeking support, only to be informed after multiple, useless phone calls in which they’d badger for my time and money - they “campaign”. They don’t help, can’t advise. Campaigning of course means angry social media messages and haranguing staff at lettings agents. More performative nonsense. I still get calls asking me to become a member again 🙄
