I wonder if Jack was so invested in her relationship with Harold that both SB and her parents were completely swept aside. It was always her IL’s she was feeding, fawning over, nuzzling, playing footsie with, making Easter cakes for, dozing off on their sofas after a deliciously ordinary meal.
she isn’t arsed with her own parents unless she needs something.

Alcoholic Jack is insufferable and I don’t believe a word of it, it’s just another string to her victimhood bow.

But it’s very interesting that she felt her family were distant from her. Is this the EUPD eternal sense of loneliness talking? Or is it the NPD expectation to be centred at all times?

“The things I have put them through over the last decade”

Is she finally acknowledging that her poverty lies has brought shame on her family? Because it’s a decade ago that her lies began.

Surely, as a supposed teen anorexic and self-harmer, her family’s suffering would be more like two decades long?
A very close friend who is in recovery has relapsed over the weekend after 14 months sober. It’s devastated his partner and he’s feeling wretched. He’s a real addict in real recovery, so I’m sorry, Jack can go duck herself with alcoholism cosplay and her 0% lager.
