I would like to say that I am in fact an unhappy person with too much time on their hands and access to the internet. Doesn't make me wrong tho does it 
I had to like this simply because of how chuffed Isa looks with her hat ... even though feet give me the boak.
I don't post much but always read along and I just wanted to thank all the fraus who post with such wisdom and empathy about addiction. I am struggling just now and reading here helps.

9 months of pregnancy. But that’s about it….I think it's a good thing for her to sign up for some education, it'll give her a focus and some structure too. Not sure jumping straight in with a degree is the best option though.
However I have to say, has she ever seen anything long-ish term through to completion? As I honestly can't think of anything

It's not just that, it's also that, if she mentioned it directly, most people would immediately want to check out exactly what's being said about her here. And then they'd have to make their own minds up. And she knows which way it would go.

ETA - that was mean and gloating. What I sincerely hope is that Jack's Diva article is basically a weird declaration of her disappearing from public view, for her own sake as much as anything else.

I've mentioned a bit on these threads over the last 18 months about a dear friend who has been struggling terribly with alcohol. How we laughed about the little soft toy that would fix everything.
After many rehabs and relapses, my friend finally decided that AA was all that was left.
I hope you don't mind...but I send them (anonymous) screenshots of your posts from time to time. They are so uplifting and informative about the process of AA.
It's early days, but they've fully embraced it, and reading what you've written has been very much a part of that.

That is fantastic news, I’m so chuffed to read that! You must be so proud of them. Of course I don’t mind, not at all. It’s a tough road but your friend has taken the first step and I really hope they take a day at a time and enjoy the new way of living

If Jack successfully disappears from public view I will eat my newly acquired hat. Despite all her intensive chair chucking therapy to solve her addiction issues, Semaine de Sardine has shown she hasn't changed at all with regards to her need for social media engagement. We might as well accept it: we're going to be subjected to every possible combination of fish and eggs and seeing the light go in and out of her eyes ad infinitum.
