The fog clears…it’s been under our noses all this time!
And I must consult my more learned Fraus, as I’m somewhat surprised to read about her son being in ICU for such a long time. That must have been very traumatic (no snark).
I thought I knew about all of Jack’s traumas, so I’m shocked to come across a new one. Did anyone else know about that?
She has mentioned before that he was sent to special care which is the level above NICU for babies who need a bit extra help or have graduated from NICU but this new pic is definitely a NICU one, the incubator and other equipment show as much, Special Care is cots only. At the time she said he needed extra support (O2 possibly, because he was a little premature). But that he was otherwise fine.
I don't know if she is doing her usual, using omission tactics and maybe inferring it worse than it really was. I do think it's inappropriate to share on a public platform.
For context, we spent 3 months in NICU with my youngest child for a lung condition and it's very traumatic. Life support, ventilator, surgery, everything you can imagine and worse. I won't go into it too much but when you've been a NICU parent you become well versed in the medical side of things and well acquainted with the reasons why a baby needs to be in NICU. It's definitely not something to splash all over social media to use as a fishing exercise.
Jack, if you're reading, please delete the pics of your son and his toy. I know how special it is and how hard that experience is but your boy needs to move on without the baggage, especially for when he is at high school.
