She is mining that poor boy for engagement. As a mum of a boy the same age it breaks my heart as its such a difficult, transitional time for them. It should be private.

She should be treasuring every moment she has with him as he obviously isn't with her much. Instead she trying to be whacky and funny, and posting photos for likes. More proof to me she has no friends as I would be out for the day with my mates and their kids ending up back at someone's house for pizza. She makes no new memories with him - just harks back to when he was an ill new-born and how it affected her. He must dread those visits..

It is, you know she inanely and gleefully says things like “it’s like he’s my parent!” Thinking it makes her cool, being besties with your kid is seen as neglect these days you boomer. For someone raised as a “proxy parent” to traumatized foster kids she really doesn’t know anything about childcare, parenting or boundaries.

Completely agree. I really hate that "scummy mummy" trend where people seem to boast about being crappy parents. I do think it should be normalised to express how hard parenting is and not feel ashamed of those times you find things particularly hard (like Christmas being expensive) or you mess up (like forgetting a PE kit), but it is NOT cool to take pride in failing your kids.
I guess maybe she's showing off how great he is to boast about how responsible and kind he is and take credit for that? It's one thing to say "I had a rough day and kid shared his mars bar with me isn't that kind" but to do it regularly is just cruel.

That reference to her being a "miniature mama" is ridiculous. She's not even that small? It's just deliberately reducing herself in relation to her son. "I'm so small and weak and fragile" which will make him feel like he has to take care of her.

Sad that I know this but I think it’s the Sophie Ellis bexter podcast where a one time food bank visit is mentioned/ implied. Possibly also in way back machine old blog.

Why does she mention SB getting taller than her practically every single time she mentions him? He's Yr7 so 5ft 1in is hardly giant. It's like she's desperate for everyone to think "ooh, she feeds her son so well with delicious food he can't stop growing". It's really odd

It is in the podcast. She refers to it as a wrinkle in her story. I would have to go back and listen again, I don't really want to. I think she was discussing how supportive her parents were. She says they came round as soon as they knew and she felt like she could not tell them.
She did not make clear whether they continued to support her and she stopped going. (Though I cannot imagine that they did not continue to support her, and particularly her child.).

It also doesn't fit that she describes what a great relationship she has with her sons father, saying that she told him she was pregnant and he told her he would support her in whatever she wanted to do. Surely he then saw his child. and did the childs grand parents, regularly.(thats in the recent article where she is cited as a non binary icon, I think.) Its possible she continued to attend the center where she got food for food and other support.
I suppose that nobody is interested enough to look into her story and it would be in poor taste to do so. Her career appears to be foundering with or without the backstory at the moment.

She starts everything with huge enthusiasm… then nothing. I’m sure she’s acknowledged in interviews that she does this, so you’d think with that self-awareness she would stop announcing every idea she has like it’s the next big thing.

So this was supposed to be an initiative to drive donations to food banks, but she spends 4 out of the 5 paragraphs wanging on about her own financial circumstances and how she's still not rich, honest, in fact she leaves herself out of pocket by doing things like this. bleeping shameless.

The break hasn’t helped, in fact I think she is worse.

Is it for us? Is it because she is now on IG more (btw has anyone else’s stories gone weird with the dots at the bottom? Mrs T’s hasn’t so it looks as though my ancient phone has had a meltdown)? Is it because LC has obviously moved on?

It is sad to see because she isn’t helping herself and her raison d’etre is getting sloppier and more inedible.

Can you imagine Jack trying to convince Walkers that anchoïade would be a great flavour. Or sardine and boiled egg flavour.
