2) Jack’s response is the very crux of why she gets her “activism” so wrong. Paypalling one or two accounts which tug on the heartstrings, and posting Lion bars to a serendipitous few (while your Patreons twiddle their thumbs lol) does absolutely duck all to further any cause, just like the constant re-hash of Jack’s ‘origin story’ no longer has any effect. She’s more bothered about signalling that she’s helping people (!) on an individual basis than making any sweeping change. Her reductive political views are absolutely reflected here.

I know you always get people who say that people who do this must be desperate. or they are happy to risk paying a scammer because they might be genuine (if you believe what you read on mumsnet) but it is often those who can least afford it who fall for it.
By giving scammers money, you are just enabling them to continue scamming.
