For someone who is trying to like herself a bit more she likes setting the dogs on other people on Twitter

She’s boring. No charisma. Personality of a paper clip, I suspect that’s why she’s not managed to carve out a decent career in TV.

So the other week she was doing a 20 quid a week shop tramping twice a day to Asda for the reductions now she’s teaching her bubble buddy how to cook a new dish every day for the next 28 days?

So she’s basically not skint then?

So based on that video and the fact that I’m tired and a bit disillusioned with life, I have come to the conclusion that she ain’t no keyboard warrior - how she is on Twitter is how she is in real life - argumentative, snippy, manipulative and “pull the ladder up, I’m alright Jack”.

And at the risk of sounding totally like #moodylenny I don’t think the press have ever given you a moniker love, they’ll have taken something from your website or books - they’re just not that into you
The sheer amount of time she spent talking about herself, and the press comment, show how contrived it all is. - How it is just an act. On the one hand she’s playing the role of scared, timid, shy and meek helper to those in need, reluctantly accepting a big role in the name of ‘personal growth’. She then gives away her true self-impression and motive when letting slip how famous she believes herself to be and how much interest she imagines ‘the press’, or in other words other people, have in her. It’s a fools game giving air to imaginary narratives that simply mask a heavy ego.

oh my god I couldn’t get to the end of this, it’s TERRIBLE. “I’m such a shy kooky chaos and everyone begs me to be on tv but I’m too precious isn’t it charming?”
no! I’m cringing so hard and can’t believe she actually watched that and then put it online for people to see, that means she thinks it’s good. It is not good. Think she needs to re-evaluate what ‘starting to like myself more’ actually means, because this ain’t it.
A light wash denim shirt with puff sleeves and diamanté appliqué quilting is such bad vibes I’d sooner poltergeist Jack living in my walls terrorising my family than have to watch this vid

Another free tip (as she seems to be taking our advice then going and bad mouthing us on Twitter? Cheeky minx) shoot ur vids in landscape hun the YouTube viewer is landscape isn’t it, as is your TV or monitor, your phone automatically pivots to landscape on full screen YT/video viewing. Fitting portrait into a landscape placeholder makes you look like a polly pocket at the end of a loo roll tube.

I completely agree with this and have started looking at the people I follow on Instagram with new eyes.

Even though the posts they write claim insecurities, the pictures are all of them and the text is entirely self-centred.

This video is the same. If someone is not confident in themselves, there is no way they would be able to video themselves multiple times, talk about themselves to such a degree and then post it in the public domain.

Once again, mindboggling.

Why do the squiggles not think, “How can you still be a shy, little, timid person, still new and learning 7-8 years after entering the spotlight?” (for want of a better word because she isn’t exactly a household name) If you still haven’t improved after all that time, perhaps TV isn’t the career for you. Even updating her website (which is HER JOB) is beyond her most of the time.

choosing the outfit of a 5 year old at a birthday party to make people think she’s just a shy sweetie, only showing her face on the scary tv because she’s so committed to helping the poor!

Things that annoyed me about the recipe.

1. She was at her desk at 6.30 as though it was a big deal. Welcome to the world of work dear.

2. Oats are naturally gluten-free. Some people with severe allergies have to get ones that are made in factories without the risk of cross-contamination but oats do not contain gluten per se.

3. Do not blather about 2 or 3 servings of your 5 a day because, maths. Maths underpins everything in our world and you should learn to use it properly as a chef/cook for costings, recipes and your 5 a day mitherings.

I could rant about the gross adverts I keep seeing on the site but it is breakfast time.
actually sometimes coeliacs (I don’t know about wheat alllergies) can never tolerate oats, as the body thinks they are gluten or something, so you aren’t meant to have them for the first year of diagnosis.
However, I wouldn’t expect most people to know this (except a food writer) so I’ll duck off now.

I’m nearly 50, never heard of channel 3?

Truly she has some of the worst taste in clothes i've ever seen. I can't believe she thinks of herself as some punky, trendy thing when it invariably looks like she got dressed by covering herself in glue and flinging herself into a rack at the local Sue Ryder.

Has she mentioned Bookshop after her recent anti-Amazon stance? This squiggle tried to get her attention but she was too BUSY to notice.

I wasn’t allowed to watch it.. my parents didn’t think it produced the same kind of output as the BBC 😳.

I’m nearly 50. Channel 3 is a familiar term if I really think about it and I’d have said ITV under pressure in a quiz show, but it’s not a term I’ve ever heard used regularly

I completely agree with this and have started looking at the people I follow on Instagram with new eyes.
The use of narrative to justify ego-heavy goals and role-playing is quite fascinating, we all do it and often to our own detriment. To be aware of it takes a fair amount of introspection and honesty with oneself. SM really is mostly an extension to this tendency to focus on ourselves, but on hyper-mode.

For an understanding of ‘role playing’ and how destructive the human ego can be, can really recommend the book A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. (Be prepared to suffer through some new age language, the general theme is very much worth it)

- Sorry, have probably gone a bit off-topic there..

Can you imagine her going head to head with John Simpson?

JS: What do you think will happen to populist leaders now? Will there be any impact to the US/UK trade deal? How will Biden deal with China?

JM: Just bung it in a curry.
She then goes on to say how she's planning a coach trip to the US - Mexico border.
Wonder how long she's going to keep these Hootsuite posts going...

Apparently these oats contain 3 of your 5 a day...
Oh good, J helpfully providing another stick to beat the poor with.

"Fruit and veg aren't expensive! I easily get 70 portions for £8.73!"
