That's like 5 weeks, it's more than enough time to hear back on an admissions decision for a masters and that's assuming he applied at the last minute. Most places have a turnaround time of 8 weeks maximum from what I've seen.

Oxford reject you for a reason, it’s not always a try again and you’ll get in, they already know what type of candidates they want!

Tbf, Ibz's course probably has more places than a niche English course like the one Jack is interested in. That being said, Ibz is obviously Oxbridge material.
I might see if I can find the course page for Jack's preferred course and see what it says. Edit: There's nothing too specific on there about admission numbers, but it must be extremely selective nevertheless.

The photos look like IG stories that he drafted but never posted. My thought is: he got ill, presumed it was COVID, so never got tested, but didn't want to be called out for not getting confirmation. I don't know, but I wouldn't feel like taking selfies if I was suffering with a severe respiratory condition.

I've had it, can confirm I didn't want to do anything. Going up and down stairs wiped me out and I'd have to lie down afterward. I don't think I got properly dressed the entire 10 days I had full on symptoms.

Obviously the pandemic hasn’t helped graduates but I got my under grad degree 4 years ago and it took me some time to get a graduate position, it’s not out of the ordinary

Just me who doesn't mind? I do it all day at work so I'm used to it, I prefer to see people's faces when I'm talking to them.

I’ve only just started doing zoom classes so I think that’s why. I’m hoping it’s going to get easier

I just dawned on me that Jack will probably never announce on his YouTube channel that he won't be doing a masters in the near future, as he doesn't want to lose that sweet sweet studytuber revenue - views would plummet and he'd start losing subscribers.

I was thinking that too. Sounds like a carbon copy of the kind of stuff on his main channel. Usually YouTubers make second channels for vlogs or content too niche for their main - he's just spreading out his content for some reason.

I would hope so, what I don’t get is he wants to do screen writting, so I don’t get why he.me not apply for masters in that?

Slightly off topic but Vee Kativhu just posted on her Instagram that she made 26k over the last 3(!) months.
If Jack‘s earning anything close to that it is no wonder he can afford his flat in london (and on top a trip to Berlin which is a whole other story. WHY TRAVEL DURING A PANDEMIC?! Especially since Berlin‘s one of the worst places for Covid in Germany rn).

I didn’t think Berlin was that bad for covid, in eve Bennett’s latest vlog she was making out like it’s really not bad with infections

Why has he gone back to Durham? I know you can to pack up your room and leave but it’s clear he’s been there overnight - filmed videos there even though it counts as a second home. I’m a student at Durham too and we have been told that we can return to collect belongings but not to stay. Also why did he stay in Durham until lockdown was enforced - we we told that we could leave from the 13th March but Jack stayed till the day after lockdown was announced - there was plenty of time to pack up and move out in March like I did. I just don’t understand why he would stay there for so long, then move back now to stay for longer than is necessary. It seems to me that he’s not being very considerate of the rules/other people who might be trying to collect belongings.

What’s wrong with a regular diary? A couple of quid in any stationery shop or newsagent. Promoting the “need” for a £17 planner is just irresponsible.

Of course no one needs such an expensive one! There a plenty good cheap ones. I just meant that as soon as one wants a very cutesy one, they tend to be more pricey (at least here in Germany). I personally want a very specific layout/size and something that’s nice to look at and I haven’t found something like that for under 20€

Even then he has been rejected twice and he still hasn't changed his attitude towards it at all. He hasn't accepted either of those rejections. I feel like Ibzmo really realised why he was rejected and reflected on that.

I hate when YouTubers ask for research for their videos ... you’re the one being paid stop being lazy!

I get the same vibe (to a lesser extent) when YouTubers ask their subscribers "What content do you want me make/what do you want to see on my channel?" Why don't you make what you like to make? Or even better, analyse your own stats to see what works best according to views/likes etc.
