Hope jack watches the 2nd half of ibz's video: describes how oxbridge rejects hold their rejection for years, and if they get in for their masters in the end they could turn arrogant. oxford isn't the end all or be all- if your application was the best you could do it's more than likely that you were just not the right fit for the course. no need to continously reapply.
Damn this is a good video. Probably the best video of rejection I have seen. He is the only one who says "rejection is redirection" and then lives by it and doesn't keep applying. Something Jack needs to realise if he is going to keep saying that. I'm not holding out hope for my money back xTo be fair I don't blame him for opening his book in store, how else is he going to know whether the pages were all there or if some chapters were missing?

Did we watch the same video...?I think Ibz 's video is bullshit, he says that if someone applies for a Masters and then gets in and thinks they deserve to be there then that means they're arrogant... but if you earn an offer you DO deserve to be there, and thinking you do isn't arrogant at all! Ibz definitely believed he deserved to be at Cambridge ... Why is that okay but believing you should be there for Postgraduate isn't??!
Jack is a different situation anyway, he clearly doesn't deserve to be there as he wasn't good enough for an offer.

Agree with that, think if that is what Ibz means he needs to work on making sure his wording is clear though.Migrated from GG the other day so my first post here but I would say Ibz maybe didn't word it exactly right but in that bit where he mentions arrogance he also says those people feel 'entitled' which I heard as meaning people like Jack who say 'I'm gonna show them they were wrong before! Take that Oxbridge!' as opposed to just understanding that getting in means you deserve it..

I agree, I always thought mugging meant you’d been attacked and robbed? So Jack was almost a victim of theft rather than a mugging. Obviously I wouldn’t wish either on anyone but there is a key difference between the two and the distinction is important.I think someone who has actually been mugged would take issue with him claiming an almost mugging by someone trying to take a phone just sat on the table
