you can get fined £100 for not wearing a mask, but because Jack is a YouTuber it’s okay wtf. He needs to learn that actions have fucking consequences
I don't blame him for taking it per se, London is pricey and I'm sure it's a lot of pressure moving there. BUT... he's not a student. I couldn't imagine anything worse than living with students if I wasn't one. Also, imagine going into student accommodation with someone who wasn't a student and was getting it for free. I'd be pretty annoyed.Has he addressed why he has free accommodation in London yet?
He should have just said "good luck everyone and hope you get what you want. If you dont, don't worry there are options put there"...rather than bringing it to be about himself.I completely completely agree. I know being in the transitional year was really rough for me and personally I felt had a negative impact on my grades whereas others seemed to be fine with it, so although I can understand if he found it harder it is subjective. What is for certain though is that students this year have been truly objectively fucked over and I don’t think he should be comparing the two situations or trying to make out like he had it just as tough. Like others have said too, he’s ultimately privileged and I can’t imagine getting the grades he did without getting some level of support from his school - which students right now must be lacking.
That’s incredible! I wonder if he’s delusional... if you get such a great offer you’d surely still apply to both! And you get 25% off the tuition fees if you’re a Durham graduate and do your postgrad there!
Previous rejections are taken into account during the process, now he has two I very much doubt they will take him on.Yeah I’m wondering about the Oxford thing too, I mean if they haven’t accepted him twice then he surely has to do something drastically different to improve his chances this time? Though I’m from Ireland so I’m not as familiar with how Oxford works.
Surely he should just apply to another university to do his Masters at this stage? I’m half worried for his mental health, he seems really fixated on getting into Oxford and I’d say the studytube’s general obsession with Oxford is fuelling alot of it. He’d be much better off if he just did his Masters somewhere else surely.
You’re joking? Omg, oxford educated and that’s what she thinksI think in one of Vees videos she said she had covid. So im assuming she thinks she cant get it again so doesnt wear a mask/social distance?
Thing is he has the scope to do the whole book tube thing, his current ideas are not bad, he just needs to reign in a lot of what he thinks make him popular aka the puns....Completely agree. I've thought that for the last couple of years. Its been a gradual thing.
He seems lost now tbh since uni has finished. He is trying way too hard to become an influencer and its just coming across as fake and pretentious.
she went to Switzerland in the middle of Germany's lockdown for some guy, and is now in South Korea even though her university is onlinewhat has jade done? i'm a little behind on her thread, sorry!!
This!! Online uni is so hard and these influencers just go about doing whatever the fuck they want without a care about the restrictions. No social distancing or masks and for what? It’s not even like he’s been to see family he hasnt been able to see, or gone abroad for a longer holiday. But going on loads of shorter holidays to different places, fucking about for Instagram pictures and videos is disgusting when people are dying. I’ve been pretty much alone for weeks and I’ve caught covid from a flat mate, makes me so fucking angry that influencers think they are above the lawi agree! For uni students like me it’s so irritating to be paying so much for online classes, but it’s to keep us safe, so we accept it. Not like the influencers that seem to put their social lives and videos above the safety of people
