I seriously doubt the people who watch GB news care about anything he has to say. Their target audience isn't exactly the open minded type, after all.

I imagine he was invited to do the interview because of his ‘influencer’ status. It would be more authentic if they interviewed someone who had overcome adversity. Jack seems to think that attending a state school places him at a disadvantage, but state schools in affluent areas tend to have good exam results. Frankly, more than 90% of people attend state schools and other people don’t tend to go on about it. I feel it is virtue signalling rather than a genuine desire to use his platform to highlight social justice issues.
This might just be me, but I'm really sick of seeing posh and better off people debating working class issues. These people have no idea what it's like to truly struggle, yet here Jack is appearing on a right-wing channel for bigots like he's the hero we all need.

The audience they chase is comprised of the most die-hard, braundead Tory rum; they're not going to engage in intelligent discourse or be open-minded enough to change.
Even if he did disagree with everything they stand for, he still clearly chose to throw any scruples he had by the wayside and signal-boost their channel just for a chance to be on TV. But everyone suspected already he's a massive Tory, this just confirms it yet again. He quite happily smiles and nods along to everything they have to say.
And he's supposedly there to challenge the notion that Durham is just a school for people that couldn't get into Oxford, when he's done everything he can to bitterly and passive-aggressively remind everyone that he was rejected by Oxford and was clearly disappointed by having to go to Durham...
