Right? Especially since he basically says "I don't know which pronunciation of Babel my audience would like so I am not going to read it" Jack, you can read a book and not make content about it if you're so concerned about that!
And by this point he has said Babel so many times in that one video, who cares. Although wouldn't surprise me if he's done it to get engagement through the comments on a video he already has planned around it.
Much prefer booktubers who read what they want to, or at least don't make it super obvious it's purely based around content rather than genuine interest in a book.

the fact he's so mysterious seems to indicate that he actually gay and is sort of embarrassed about it or is trying to hide it so he has sex appeal for the girls who watch his channel because his content is neither interesting nor insightful about books

To his credit, the girlfriend did appear on his Instagram a fair bit. The rainbow bookshelf is just a thing that's been trending for the last few years, I don't think it means anything. I definitely wonder about his sexuality too, but these are things that don't mean anything imo.

I honestly feel like it's the other way round maybe? he's not mysterious because he's "hiding something", I think he's trying to appear elusive/mysterious by vaguely mentioning these friends that he's going out with to super exclusive restaurants and only coming home in the morning.
