Bloody hell they look rough. I'd cross the street to avoid them
They got off lightly that's for sure.
What really stands out to me here is their description of having to always be alert, because people on the street are hateful towards them.
I mean, Iâm not saying itâs right, but if you truly want to âlive like a womanâ, youâll always have to be alert in public. Youâll have to deal with random comments on your appearance, sexually-charged insults, fear of strangers, worrying about violence and rape.
Quite ironic really that theyâre in the tabloids telling this story as if street harrassment of women is a brand new issue. Also quite interesting how theyâre being given lots of column inches to cover their mea culpa, but the usual articles about women harrassed on the street are mocked. Male privilege doesnât disappear when you put on a dress and a wig.
Fascinating how they reacted in such a male way also, isnât it? Iâve not yet heard of a group of women battering the hell out of a man who said something nasty to them in public.
Has anyone got confirmation on what sex their crime will be recorded under?
