Kanye won't leave his estranged wife and her new boyfriend alone — and it's disturbing.

an interesting read compared to what Alice is doing. They mention men need to stop doing this.
I'm not ignoring the fact that women are statistically more at risk of the kind of behaviour discussed in that article just as they are statistically more often the victims of DV & worse. I'm a woman but it's high time society acknowledged that DV can & does happen to men too.
It may not affect men at the same rate as it does women but to ignore the fact it does happen is doing male victims a huge disservice & helps feeds the continuing stigma about a man being a DV victim in the first place. This makes it much harder for men to come forward. The shame they must feel due to society's stereotyping of men & women & the mockery they likely face is a huge barrier to men admitting even to loved ones they have been abused.
I remember a tweet mocking Yo & dismissing his claim as a lie using a mans physical strength as the reason it was a lie.
DV doesn't always mean physical harm. There are plenty of other ways to truly harm people that don't leave visible scars.
Not to mention male victims of a female's physical violence often don't hit back as not all men think hitting a woman is acceptable, even in self defence.
Where is a similar article condemning female abusers? An article condemning mAlice for her long term abuse & the supporters who encourage her & continue it on SM on her behalf? Where is an article highlighting her DV abuse of Yo shown in 113 pages of documented proof not to mention the TRO & the fact he needed a police escort when he went back to the house to collect his things?
The bile she spewed on SM after he left & prior to the TRO was largely overlooked/ignored simply because she's a woman & got a free pass for her disgusting behaviour as she was viewed as the poor broken hearted wife, blah blah blah.
Reverse the sexes & Yo would have been crucified in the media.
I think Yo is incredibly brave admitting he was a victim of DV. This wouldn't have been an easy decision, not least because he's a very private person but she has turned their divorce into a media shitstorm & I imagine he also thought of the girls.
Whether it hinders his career remains to be seen but I really hope not as that would be to victimise him all over again & he's suffered enough.
It would be good to think that his case might be a good place for society to start seriously addressing female to male abuse, openly accept it does happen & call it out for what it is. Abuse. No excuses just because the perpetrator has a womb. ETA sadly, I'm not holding my breath.
