Thing is, she doesn't even have to get into a state to do it intentionally. What with her "pick an illness, any illness!" attitude, doctor/therapist hopping and addictive personality, she's often completely off her trolley and mixing three sharp bottles ones of wine on the regular basis that she does, it's asking for an accident. How many film and music people have died that way, accidentally?

That is the scary thing. People generally need more and more of whatever they're addicted to in order to achieve the feeling they're after. Add in impaired judgment and being blacked out.. people lose track of what they say or do, not to mention how much they've consumed. If her FMs or family actually cared about her, they'd have staged an intervention in the last 6-12 months. I really don't think they do care about her though. She's a tragedy waiting to happen (in the sense she could get help and turn her life around). It's the collateral damage that is truly scary..the kids or other innocent bystanders.
