You're right. Actually making the child porn claim would engage a whole new level of scrutiny from federal and state authorities that wouldn't help AE at all. False accusations are pretty serious. Better to just vaguely hint at it.

Exactly this. It's quite amazing that all this time on she is still raging. And that is a choice as you say. She could decide "fuck this, I'm over feeling angry, shit, upset so I'm going to take small steps forwards to feel better."

She is totally locked in a mentality that I truly think she is terrified to leave. Being angry is a safe place for her; she knows that space of negativity and believing she is a victim so attack, attack, attack. Having to come out of that means working on herself and facing her new reality and I just don't think she has the resilience or self-awareness to do that. She's sure relentless in her rage but that isn't resilience.

I'm not saying it is easy to face a future you didn't expect (more fool her with her behaviour though) but she could have a good and happy life moving forwards where she feels productive (job of some kind!) and more content. It's understandable to mourn a marriage but at some point you have to brush yourself down, pull your big girl pants up and say "ok, enough." I fear she won't ever get to a place of accepting Ioan met someone else or her part in the marriage breakdown.

Ioan can console himself with the fact that no matter how bad the divorce is ...it's still 1000 times better than staying married to her.
He would rather be dead than spend another day with her. Says a lot about her, if we were ever in any doubt.

I've following this thread for ages and recognise a lot of great ppl here from the amber johnny trial thread .

Haven't commented yet as while I absolutely detest Alice - detest isn't the word actually, I pity her. She is tragic. And needs a lot of mental health help - I'm also not a huge Bianca fan and don't want to get my head bitten off (it's not that she seems awful like Alice, it just a personality thing, her insta is so saccharine it makes me inwardly puke a bit and i also didn't think giving her,a complete unknown, a film to suddenly star in at the height of all this kicking off was the best pr move for them at the time).

Saying all that - irrespective of my personal thoughts - she and ioan are absolutely victims of this psycho at this point and, even if I might not be anyone involved biggest fan I can absoluty see that and I am also aware I only have Mad Alice's side of the story at the moment.
So hopefully you don't mind me hanging about here! I'm still anti - alice, don't worry!

Imagine grifting good humans working hard to put food on their own tables after days on their feet or sitting at a desk and dealing with actual pain and serious health issues. As for the earlier "The Other Woman" discussion: I never understood the obsession to demonize those women.

My dad cheated on my mom with my sister's best friend. He never admitted it, but it was balatantly obvious for all three of us. My mom never blamed the girl, she even said: "good on her, if a man is dumb enough to empty his pockets for you she would be dumb to not go for it" - eventually the affair ended, we all have a great relationship to her and she became my sister's bridesmaid and my nephews godmother.

Sure, if you have a very very very high moral compass you back off, especially when kids are involved. But if the man tells you that the relationship is terrible and he wants to slowly end it you will not completely stay away from them, you will flirt etc in order to be the first in line when he is available. There is nothing wrong with that in my opinion. And it's funny to me because Alice tweeted that if she would have a crush on a married man she would give him her number and tell him to call her after the divorce if she is still single. Well, maybe that's what happened (seperation instead of divorce, but hardly anyone waits for the formal divorce)

The only scenario where I would blame the OW is if they blackmail their lover into leaving (and to an certain extend manipulating the relationship to the kids, but that's technically on the husband to put the foot down)

Other than that it's completely on the husband IMO, the other woman doesnt have any responsibility towards the wife either (I mean in my personal life example the connection was a lot more horrendously close), so it's pretty telling for me that Alice always focuses more on Bianca than on him. It's not even because she hates woman, it's something many women do strangely, and I really dont get this. My mom may not be the best example either, but there are also many women who embrace it that they are free of someone that wasnt as good as they thought and are actually thankful to the other woman (Alice does try to push that narrative too, but she contradicts it the whole time and isnt acting like someone that wants to move on, no matter how much she uses financial reasons as a excuse, it's every time a different one)

The only thing that bothers me about Bianca is this overly gushy shit and while I think her overly positive attitude is the correct approach for her disease it will have its downsides in other parts of life. I also still have doubts over her intentions for various reasons, but I'm not going to outline those again (lol)

Numbers work for my brain to give me a bit of peace - whenever stressed or overwhelmed they are my safe place the sheer fuckwittery of that woman has made our household budget spreadsheets and my company annual budget a work of wonder and beauty as I make them to relax after a hefty Alice dose.

I have read all 15 books as well and the 2 glossaries

Lot of trouble lateley with the new casting as Aviendha is a 5'10 auburn actress from Ireland (she was in Killing Eve and Les Mis as Lily Collins mate ) but her dad in from Nigeria so that stirred up Reddit
