What are the legal implications for Alice refusing to move forward with the divorce and house sale?
Can Ioan's lawyers order it to go ahead without Alice's cooperation given the tro/pro? Would a judge just rubber stamp it if Alice doesn't bother to turn up at the next hearing?

Some things judges won't do unless you have an attorney with you in that courtroom. She can delay multiple times by not having an attorney.

Honestly, here in the US, this becomes a gray area dependant on judge and jurisdiction. Some things are up to a judges discretion.

Same with police departments. Ioan could be calling police all he wants over the violations of the TRO since court Tuesday and the cops could tell him if she's not outside your house with a gun - take it back to court.

I had a lengthy post here the other day about the same with child custody. A judge would first have to issue court ordered visitation before she can be accused of violating visitation.

As long as a collaborative divorce was on the table - there would have been no court orders. She can also drag that out a long time. Court ordered law guardians to interview the girls. Court ordered therapists to schedule and interview. Again, Alice pulling the stunt of no attorney the day before a hearing.

With her fighting and lying every step of the way, things will keep getting ugly and dragged out.

We don't know anything behind the scenes. But Ioan has damn good attorney's so I'm putting faith in that.

Just the fact his attorney was able to get a TRO against a woman says a lot about her capabilities.

Her social media output is showing exactly what he’s had to put up with, her evidence of a note sent before the split means absolutely nothing. Even if he has an affair and I’m not belittling the consequences of one, it doesn’t justify her abuse towards Ioan, Bianca and the extended family. She also goes after any commenter online disagreeing with her.
She’s showing her ass and making everyone else realise how awful she is. Those “fans” of whom there’s about three are clout chasing arseholes. They will never admit she’s a crackpot. They can see how she behaves, some people are just like that.
No compassion and when they got dumped they just took it. Alice’s white privilege is shining through and they’re all supporting it and it’s all public for everyone to see them goading her on.
The bin I’m throwing them in gets smaller each time and eventually it’ll be sad and lonely Alice left. She forgets the girls can see all of this, they will work it out eventually.

I do find this case a scary lesson

Despite so many evidences being out there that prove her behavior, despite it being blatantly obvious that she lies in every corner, despite her ruining her kids life...there is still support there for her (only on her SM and some blue ticks but still)

Imagine if she was smart and cunning about this instead? How many abusers have gotten away that way?

Her eldest daughter is reading everything. There will come a point, after she realises her dad wasn’t a bad father, that she will realise her mother, whilst fun at times, is a complete crackpot and an embarrassment.

Somebody that gets abused will either react with a form of reactive abuse, grey rocking or pacifying like he does here (its obvious due to him explaining exactly what he is doing). I had a laugh at one of Alice's AWFul followers last night who compared it to how their mom reacted to abuse. Yes, totally all victims react the same. Very smart. Ioan is the a personality that isnt confronting, that's why he is not engaging in Social Media Wars, so it's very in-character for him to react that way to abuse (which was obviously happening on her SM long before the seperation alone)

Somebody that pacifies tries to save the marriage, probably for the kids sake. That he told her shortly after this that he no longer loved her doesnt disprove it either, because according to Alice he didnt just upright tell her but she actively asked him after he didnt gave her attention and he answered after long thinking. Probably he would have tried to keep this up much longer without asking.

Except Jolie is a timeless beauty who is dedicated to humanitarian work, even through numerous health issues, and endlessly interesting. I cleaned my skirting boards today rather than watch the latest drama unfold with Alice; after following here since Lorraine, I have to say the “you’re not special” comment on her IG really resonated with me. There is nothing special about Alice. She’s actually boring, the only reason people watch her is because we get an ‘inside look’ at a Hollywood family; you can tell she knows that because she’s talking movies and screenplays. Hollywood is her only currency. As a person, she was never exceptional- exceptional people don’t go around proclaiming it.
What she IS: deluded, incapable, embarrassing, and dangerous in a “there’s 10 in every suburb” way. Yawn.
