I watched a vlog earlier where she was talking about how busy Christmas is for influencers. She said something along the lines of, “yeah so Christmas is a really busy period because there’s so many… promotions, like there’s so much going on for us to tell you about — I get to tell you about things that are on sale that you might not know about. For example your favourite Armani foundation is on sale. It’s just so exciting for me to be able to share all that stuff with you.”
I mean… that is ABSOLUTELY not what she is doing. AT ALL. What she is doing, is making her audience want to buy shitloads of stuff that they don’t need. It isn’t letting them know about random sales of their existing favourite product. Does she think everyone watching her is stupid? Or is a huge proportion of her following that stupid? Do they think she’s doing them a favour?
It’s so grotesque how she framed that, for some reason it really irritated me. She isn’t doing her audience a favour. She is glorified QVC, encouraging people to spend spend spend, including impressionable young girls and women who have low self esteem. It’s not in any way a nice favour she’s doing.
It’s the same way she will be gushing with thanks for brands sending her shit. “Oh it’s so kind!” It’s not fucking kind, it’s literally just the brand promoting their products. Why lie?
And who the FUCK is buying a hotel suite with a few random extras thrown in that she has approved? Who?? I can’t actually think of a demographic who would actively choose to pay for that. Oh a bloody in-room popcorn maker, yeah; that is _so_ Victoria.
Oh and also, i get the impression the Manchester place is also going to drive them apart as a couple. Although they both do seem really into it. I can see Alex really not wanting to go back to the Deanshanger place, ever. And I totally agree with @BrittleLeaves, they’ll probably quietly put it up for sale after a while.

My favourite was how she said the Hennessy Paradis was something "you wouldn't buy yourself." Girl, your entire life is something you wouldn't buy yourself as evidenced by the table covered in gifts. How much of that stuff is gonna end up on dpop or given to a family member before January is done.

Victoria really tries too hard to scream into the world how perfect her life is. Sure, this is the age of social media, where anyone can post about anything, everything, and nothing at the same time.
For my master's degree internship, I got assigned to an adult therapy center- and my god, almost half of the clientele there are social media personalities here in my home country. The majority of them are being chased by the tax center here due to underpaying their taxes, unable to cope with the pressure (they subconsciously made for themselves), and the fact that most of them live alone (one of them confessed her 'loving bf' is actually an escort). Most of them did not earn a degree, nor are financially literate, so they have dug themselves a hole they have dug too deep.
I feel that Vic, deep down is clamoring for the life she once had. A free trip here, a fashion show there, and the fact that she stays at home for short periods of time. Now she's literally locked herself in her attic and only comes out if someone pays for her to be there.
She literally cannot afford to be happy. She can win the lottery tomorrow, but nothing changes. She's deeply unhappy, and no Peloton workout nor free trip is gonna solve that. She really needs to pay for a therapist, since she is so lost, and is looking even ridiculous day by day. I wonder if even Alex (roommate) is even noting her drastic changes. She changed so much after getting married and moving to Deanshanger.

I didn't mind Vic showing off her lavish PR gifts, it's just a regular business transaction - the brands' PR departments are sending these to get visibility and Victoria is doing her part as an influencer and giving said visibility. Everyone's doing their job, whatever.
It's not like the companies are choosing between gifting influencers or gifting poor people in need. The money from their marketing budgets would never be put towards helping regular people pay their electricity bills, no matter how lovely that would be. In most cases, if these luxury companies would decide to cut their marketing expenses, it would just mean that even more money is left to the company owners who are rich old white multibillionaire men.

Tbh though- if I’d bought one of those bags or thought about buying one I’d want proof that the money had gone to charity. Most of them are shady about their charitable donations. Most of them claim to donate money from selling stuff and then have second resale accounts where they sell the bulk of their stuff without having to actually give to charity.
I’ll rip influenzas for most stuff but 20k to charity is a huge amount of money. I genuinely do not know of any others who’ve done this. She can’t win with this, either she posts about it or people will say she mustn’t have donated the money.

At my work there are girls in their early 20s and I see them reading books on their lunchbreak about manifesting etc. If they've got this idea from influencers, no amount of wishing will get them stuff beyond the reach of their current salary! They'd be better off spending their lunch breaks reading books about skills that will help them get a promotion.This is what grinds my gear with this manifesting bollocks. It just implies anyone who doesn’t have want they want hasn’t wished for it hard enough.
When in reality a rich woman has gone to a dealership and got the car she wanted as she has enough for the deposit and a good enough credit rating for the finance. Like, well done

After Lidl moved to a village outside MK she helped Vic to find a house in another village outside MK. I think she also encouraged Vic to leave her agency at the same time.She lives in Milton Keyes in the middle of nowhere. No, I don't think Vic and Lydia are not friends (anymore).
Since then Lidl has done her usual trick of love bombing someone she thinks is useful, which rapidly turns to not supporting those friends with their enterprises (eg Edge of Ember). In turn the friends recognise Lidl for the mean, selfish, unfeeling girl she is. End of friendship.
