Poor Tao - I think paper mache and dirty sea water lady was kept in purely for entertainment value. The kitchen island was beyond stupid.

Will noone talk about the logo being off centre on the counter in the gift shop😭
When she put it up with Alan I thought maybe they will put some words or something to the left of it because it was so off centre and clashing with the shape of the curves😬 the judges said it looked great...

i think it was an unfair challange just like the homeless house one because the tasks were too different for the teams. The guitar store owner having such a clear vision clearly contrasted with the purpose of the show so why not go wiht a different shop. Clearly he just wanted to have his shop done up for free instead of grabbing a bucket of paint and some pieces of wood for a stage himself...

Very glad Duran's gone she should've been out ages ago and she was so cocky!
Sophie should also be out she never actually does well, has terrible time management, and has a meltdown about every project while achieving much less than everyone else.
i thought Kate had real potential, I think she would've done better than her

This felt very dystopian when Michelle said it. Easy for her to say she could see herself living there when she actually lives in a rural cottage that she’s currently renovating.
And Alan just bought a flipping Castle! The 20 somethings wondering how they can afford kids or where to put them.

Think the right person went home again, Emma’s space just gave me Care Bear bedroom vibes and when she was explaining her design influences unless they edited her dirty, she couldn’t seem to grasp it was too many to throw at one room let alone a small space and not really right for an office space.

I also thought Bradley’s was just as bad - the desks were completely impractical for a start - but as Emma had been in the bottom 3 the week before it was the right decision.

Rita’s design was really strong again although I did wonder how they’d clean the window with the desk being built up against it.

Can’t believe John’s in the semi finals - he’s not completed his work nearly every week, how is he still there? He’s got to go next week surely?
Definitely. If Rita or Craig go it will be a massive travesty. He's nice - and good but just needs a huge amount of time to do anything 😂
It's really been a two horse race between Rita and Craig from the off. Everything else has been filler.

Agree squiggle woman should have gone last night. The squiggle around the bed was horrid.

I quite like Michelles comments about design, when she is consistent! Part of me was thinking this year, she is focussing more on the practical purpose of the rooms, rather than just the design. Which is why Ajeet went last night, because his colour scheme was too much and it made his room look smaller rather than bigger. But personally I preferred his design to some others. But had he used that sofa in other designs? like the navy one?

I also think they have been told more this year, about leaving areas, like the bathroom and kitchen tiles last night. rather than trying to do a cheap cover up.

Im not sure how you are meant to make a studio flat that is that small, look good. Imagine waking up in the morning and smelling and seeing last nights dinner remains in the kitchen area! (maybe you are tidier than me, but we dont always

I loved Craig's!
I know it didn't have much to do with rugby but it looked gorgeous and expensive.
I was surprised Michelle didn't mention Victoria just having stools in her room. Completely unsuitable if people are older or have disabilities. For instance I couldn't sit on one for any length of time because of my back.
I didn't like Rita's church pew either - uncomfortable and meant the room was stuck in one configuration.

It’s odd, isn’t it. I’d have thought the goal for an aspiring interior designer on the show wasn’t winning as much as making contacts, and that bridge is properly burnt. I was going to say “as long as he’s happy with his choices”, but his posts don’t scream contentment.

I liked Briony’s walls but I thought the table cloth wasn’t in keeping with the rest of the theme. And Michelle didn’t call her out on how poorly she covered those chairs.

I really liked Holly's though at first I thought she'd made a mistake leaving the walls bare. But she was spot on and made it all look cosy and inviting. The lighting was lovely.
I think she's very good.

I thought Briony was unlucky. She was a lot better than John who has no idea of time management. He does not seem to have improved at all during the series and just seems out of his depth. Craig carried him this week. I liked both shops but if I was on a day trip to Rye I would visit the paper shop. The merchandise looked beautiful.

I thought they all had a better grip of the brief than I would have, I'd have shoved in grab rails and modesty screens for the commode. I would have liked to have seen more Holly, I do think her designs would have become boring but she so much like a Carolone Aherne character I delighted every time she was on screen. The poor premise and design aside her planning was piss poor on that one (not enough MDF and hoping some would magically appear)
Holly really reminds me of someone facially but I can't think who it is - driving me mad 😂
I liked her constant slight vagueness and optimism. Though obviously not qualities that worked last night.
Rita does seem to be the one to beat atm.

I can't remember their names, but with the winning team's apartment I really thought the judges would have disliked the contrast between the very yellow hall door opening onto the cream sitting room. Looked a bit odd and disjointed to my very untrained eye ie if you were in the sitting room and the door was left open.

Good start I thought. Nobody incredibly irritating. Yet.
I loved the room with the giant mural. Very cosy.
