Went to have a look and it’s on multiple posts! She really needs to take a step back.

I do agree with this point though:

Wow, she's so unprofessional. People are allowed an opinion on social media posts and they're also allowed not to like you - imagine if you were thinking of hiring one of this years lot for a job and you came across these immature comments from Duran?

The hotel week ones annoy me as someone who used to work in a hotel. There's way too much stuff like Nik naks, cushions and hard to clean things that make these rooms a nightmare for housekeeping. I imagine alot of changes are made to all these rooms after the show.
Im glad im not the only one to think this. The one where someone made a chandelier with glasses and painted them pink, all I thought was that'll be a nightmare to dust.

I was surprised Michelle overlooked Briony's shelf blocking the pitch. I mean a fundamental role of those hospitality rooms is to view the match 🤦‍♀️
And as you say on other occasions she tears strips off people for just reusing all the existing furniture. This time however it was 'clever' or something like that.
And other times she's annoyed if things are too obviously themed or clichéd. But Craig having his 50s lounge missed the brief. I can sort of understand that but I thought it was stunning and luxurious with that budget. And if I was going to see a rugby match I don't think I'd need a reminder in the room tbh. I'd know. Plus nice for Twickenham to offer different themed rooms for different clients.
John has to be the next to go. He's nice and I often like his designs but he always runs out of time and gets his proportions a bit wrong.
Rita is always good - I didn't like her church pew - so uncomfortable. Some club type chairs would have been better and more flexible in that space.

ETA these are two existing hospitality suites at Twickenham - neither remotely rugby themed. I think Craig's would fit in perfectly.
I’m with you on Craig’s room, I’m not even a fan of mid century furniture but I thought his room looked fabulous. It wouldn’t bother me at all that there was nothing to link it to rugby, I thought Briony’s weird collection of balls on the wall was a token gesture.

i don't think he was that bad in the actual episode, but he's really shown himself up on ig afterwards. it was funny until it wasn't, i understand that seeing it play back on telly will have brought feelings back to the surface but he needs to just get over himself and take some solace in the public opinion being in his favour.

They should have had the one room.

I was just in my local Chinese takeaway and looking around thinking how much Michelle would hate the decor as there's no "story" being told, but the place has been there forever and always busy.

Noticed on the hotel website that the only room they have kept is the one with the AI prints of a King and Queen.
Which makes me wonder, do these businesses go into this programme with the expectation that the designs will be crap? Are they paid to take part? Is the intention that the rooms need updating so it doesn’t matter if some contestants have a play around because they will just get proper people in afterwards?

Each to their own but I thought the guitar shop transformation was a brilliant transformation. Loved the window display, all the neon signage inside, the soundproof booth and the way they created an atmospheric club like feel. It felt like Michelle was clutching at straws to find negatives - they could have showcased the guitars more (but they followed the brief) and put in more of a socialising space. Yet if they had done that, Michelle would no doubt have told them they needed to remember it was a shop first and foremost and not a club.

In contrast I felt very underwhelmed by the gift shop. They basically painted it orange and tidied it up. The Crossroads Motel counter was absolutely horrible and one of their best sellers (the knitted clothes) were moved to a small branch (which could only hold about 10 garments) in the middle of the shop. Also why was Michelle lavishing praise on the gallery wall going upstairs when the original shop already had one.

I'm guessing the final will be between Emmely and Lia but I've been wrong about everything else this season!

The basket lampshade annoyed me too.

I’m surprised John got away with the tile stickers. They looked good but don’t seem durable enough for a holiday let.

Emmerlys' players room was ikea blue and yellow, it was nasty. I thought the room that had the high table at the window was a poor idea as it blocked the view for those elsewhere in the room?
I'm sure I remember a previous series where someone did exactly that, blocked the view in a hospitality box and Michelle didn't like it.

URGH I hated Briony's space. Michelle "I blow with the wind" Ogundahin usually goes in on people who use the existing furniture, but Briony got away with it, even though the upholstery was shoddy and that table cloth was hideous and didn't go with the rest of the room. As others have said, there was also the fundamental error of the shelf blocking the view of the pitch.

I LOVED Rita and Craig's spaces. John is getting on my nerves now, three weeks on the sofa and he's still clinging on. His room was too cramped, again - how do the back-to-back chair people get out easily? Poor Victoria's downfall was that wallpaper. She bought it to try to save time but it was poor quality and therefore pulled the rug from under her.

Looking forward to the retail challenge, although I hope there will be just one person going. Imagine if it was Rita and Craig V John and Briony!!

I agree that Michelle was very inconsistent. I thought it was a really boring episode overall. Happy with the result I found him really annoying and was definitely weakest overall

With the guitar shop I immediately thought they should have had a sort of museum aspect - photos of bands and artists using those guitars, a history of those guitars in photos, clippings from NME etc.
Just a lot more info.

There's something really quite pathetic about reality TV contestants being bitter after being booted off early (or they think it's early).
Jayde Adams, who could not dance, moaned for months and months about how unfair it was she got voted off Strictly. It's so undignified and literally nobody is ever sympathetic. Most people following think they were lucky to have the opportunity in the first place.

I feel like I must have terrible taste because I thought the majority of the designs were pretty bad but Michelle and Linda loved them.
I’m annoyed that she didn’t say anything about the guy using AI. Any artistic who uses AI is in my bad books so I want him to leave asap.
I also feel and this may be controversial but if you are going to write something on the walls then you should have nice handwriting.

Ironically I thought Duran should have won the first week (the beach hut) where she made it look cavernous inside and the quirky squiggles worked really well to highlight the curved opening into the kitchen.

Every week I've thought the wrong person has gone. Frankie's room in the castle was much more in keeping than others and their main issue was a gold headboard. The pair who went who designed the multi-space had a nightmare brief and it was so much better than the basement one with the missing cork tiles and hideous blue circles on cupboard doors. Jonni's mess room was great - a much nicer space than the tacky one which replicated a pub and shoved in a clapped out piano.

I agree Michelle is a hate-watch and I've been ok with that until now but this season has been pretty awful. The reasons for picking winners or sending people home aren't consistent (eg. Duran's open bedroom onto a kitchen was utterly wrong for the space yet Ajeet was booted off).
The programme has so much potential to be absolutely amazing. It needs some different energy.

He wasn’t even that good?! He needs to humble himself ffs
This 100%. He was pretty average right from the start. I thought Matt and Anthony were the ones who showed real early promise and Ben brought the drama even if his designs were a bit impractical but Domnall never stood out to me as being particularly talented.

It was such a shame Holly went, I'd said to my husband about two hours before we watched it that she was one of my front-runners, with Rita and Craig. I agree that the apartment was rubbish though. I can't get on board with Briony's boring beige/white and I do think that paneling should be dark, personally. But I loved Craig's hallway, and Victoria's bedroom. Rita is head and shoulders above the competition IMO.

ETA that I love Alan. I find Michelle really irritating, she's a bit wishy washy.
