I disagree, I like these different businesses. Next week is the retail one which is always my favourite

Also corporate stuff is a large part of an interior designers market.

This series for me has been the best in a while.

Romantic bedroom in a castle. Honestly how are so many getting it so wrong 🤦‍♀️
I'd just lean into the castle and go medieval with velvet, tapestry. Utterly predictable I know 😂. But then again my ideal room is the Gryffindor common room.

Right decision based on that challenge and I guess John has the growth and development story arc whereas Craig started strong and has done well throughout but he took it too far this week in terms of doing what he wanted and didn’t think about the client and overall brief enough. I really felt for Craig when he realised it was him going when Michelle said something about the space needs to showcase the performer and not detract (something along those lines). He just hung his head and knew then he hadn’t fulfilled the brief.

If Rita doesn’t win, we riot!

I think John might have swung it.
Who would have thought that a few weeks ago?
I think hes always been one of the strongest actual designers. But his time keeping kept tripping him up.

I love his design and disagree on the white in winter. My house is like that and it's not cold at all.

Still think it could be Rita as the prize is more her thing

The influencer woman popped up as a suggestion on my Instagram, probably because I follow Banjo who I love. My god, how on earth do these people think they have the skills to become interior designers when they paint a bit of IKEA Billy? I have a family member who works in this area designing bars and restaurants. It’s a lot of training on CAD systems, long hours and teamwork.

The ones who have been successful since were already working in a related area or doing it anyway, like Nicky from one of the early series.

If John can properly learn from this week's feedback he's got a lot of potential, I think his instincts and taste levels are good. I definitely think Rita is the front-runner but Craig could give her a run for her money if he can perfect when his bold instincts are right (the bamboo prints in the bedroom) vs when they're too much (yellow hallway).

I agree that Bradley is a bit Dunelm (I do love Dunelm though haha). He was very lucky to get through last week with that awful MDF space desk. That being said although nothing revolutionary, I thought his bedroom was done well this week - although cutting the circle around the lightshade and smoke alarm was a mis-step. He got away lightly with them not making a big deal of the terrible cardboard fireplace backdrop!

Agree with what you’re all saying but I’m just relieved Ajeet got through, he’s definitely my favourite and I was worried when he got paired with the paper mache queen.

Will noone talk about the logo being off centre on the counter in the gift shop😭
When she put it up with Alan I thought maybe they will put some words or something to the left of it because it was so off centre and clashing with the shape of the curves😬 the judges said it looked great...

i think it was an unfair challange just like the homeless house one because the tasks were too different for the teams. The guitar store owner having such a clear vision clearly contrasted with the purpose of the show so why not go wiht a different shop. Clearly he just wanted to have his shop done up for free instead of grabbing a bucket of paint and some pieces of wood for a stage himself...

Very glad Duran's gone she should've been out ages ago and she was so cocky!
Sophie should also be out she never actually does well, has terrible time management, and has a meltdown about every project while achieving much less than everyone else.
i thought Kate had real potential, I think she would've done better than her
Omg the off centre logo 😂
First thing anyone would notice. And yet more cheap looking curvy plywood. Why tf do they keep doing that?

I don't think I've seen one room this entire series I've thought 'wow'. In a good way.

Why do they all have to hug eachother all the time, I can't imagine going into work and having to hug everyone at the end of the day ughhhhhh (I realise I sound very very old).

And if anyone asked me to give a "whoop whoop", well.....
I think the EXACT same. If I’m hiring an interior designer I do not expect them to be hugging me. Don’t touch me and we’ll get in great. Well, on a professional level. I’m hiring you for your skills and expertise, not to be your best mate

I get the concept of upcycling, better to fix something than throw it away, but was hurting my heart seeing them take some lovely old furniture and painting it in hideous colours.
They also have a really weird understanding of the word ‘sustainable’

I had no idea AI was being used. How do you know its been used. Could they just hide the fact? Very disappointed.
Two of them said "I used AI for this" and nobody really batted much of an eyelid - the royal obsessive for his King and Queen artworks in the castle hotel, and Ajeet with his heron artwork. Alan Carr made some jokes about how he can't be replaced with AI to Ajeet but there was no pushback on it. I know people that seem to bloody love using it with no thought of consequences.

URGH I hated Briony's space. Michelle "I blow with the wind" Ogundahin usually goes in on people who use the existing furniture, but Briony got away with it, even though the upholstery was shoddy and that table cloth was hideous and didn't go with the rest of the room. As others have said, there was also the fundamental error of the shelf blocking the view of the pitch.

I LOVED Rita and Craig's spaces. John is getting on my nerves now, three weeks on the sofa and he's still clinging on. His room was too cramped, again - how do the back-to-back chair people get out easily? Poor Victoria's downfall was that wallpaper. She bought it to try to save time but it was poor quality and therefore pulled the rug from under her.

Looking forward to the retail challenge, although I hope there will be just one person going. Imagine if it was Rita and Craig V John and Briony!!

WTF is going on with who’s going home. I do think the colours (although too many) were the best in the wellness space. That lad had won stand out space. Jesus mother and Mary, Michelle is void of all personality and it’s like she wants the weird one to win each series so she has something about her. Would not be surprised if paper mache wins 🙄
