Hahahaha the shade! I can’t believe the drama Domnall is causing. It’s mental behaviour from a grown man.

It’s odd, isn’t it. I’d have thought the goal for an aspiring interior designer on the show wasn’t winning as much as making contacts, and that bridge is properly burnt. I was going to say “as long as he’s happy with his choices”, but his posts don’t scream contentment.

He wasn’t even that good?! He needs to humble himself ffs

This 100%. He was pretty average right from the start. I thought Matt and Anthony were the ones who showed real early promise and Ben brought the drama even if his designs were a bit impractical but Domnall never stood out to me as being particularly talented.

There's something really quite pathetic about reality TV contestants being bitter after being booted off early (or they think it's early).
Jayde Adams, who could not dance, moaned for months and months about how unfair it was she got voted off Strictly. It's so undignified and literally nobody is ever sympathetic. Most people following think they were lucky to have the opportunity in the first place.

and what do they expect or hope will happen? the judges will publicly say they made a mistake? that they'll get a great job as all the griping won't detract from their amazing talent? as unjustified as it might have been (and he was going the week after even if he had stayed in) he needs to just shut up and move on. It makes him look like a sad old wanker.

In my opinion, the reason he went that week rather than Francesca was his appalling attitude. Neither of them really had a great one that week and Francesca had been poorer in previous challenges and perhaps would have been more likely to go but for Domnall's dreadful attitude.

Yes in that article Michelle (whatever anyone's thoughts about her) said the sofa conversations before her decision last about an hour. So no doubt Domnall's full character showed itself. I presume complete inability to take criticism would be terrible in their line of work.
Looking back Michelle was quite charitable when she said the reason he went was he wouldn't take any responsibility for the challenge - a nicer way of framing the truth.

i don't think he was that bad in the actual episode, but he's really shown himself up on ig afterwards. it was funny until it wasn't, i understand that seeing it play back on telly will have brought feelings back to the surface but he needs to just get over himself and take some solace in the public opinion being in his favour.

I thought the same, found it quite funny in the episode when he went to pull his phone out, kinda thought good for him sticking up with himself with evidence, but he’s showing himself to be a bit of a prat and the hour long chat on the sofa had much worse than pulling texts up.

Hope folk can read it was behind a firewall https://archive.ph/BkFPb
the kitchen, hallway and bathroom are gorgeous, that bathroom mosaic is insanely good. she gets it so right sometimes, but the pattern clashing can get so extreme in places that it's just too overwhelming especially in photos. imo it's so important in design to acknowledge something is lovely but just not for that space on that scale.

Matt was robbed. Late to the party but his space was elegant and grown up. I wish him well in his career.
