I’m so sorry to hear of your loss! I lost my dog of 14 years last July and I still haven’t gotten over it. At least you can say you were a great owner and they will have known how much you loved them.I love how we all love and do right by our animals..
My seperation with my partner meant an argument about our 4 cats and 2 dogs. Because of that I wasnt willing to leave them in his care because they were very old and ailing. So I have stayed in the house flatting with him, looking after my geriatric cats and dogs. In this past month I have had many visits to the vet with them. 1st it was time to say goodbye to my dear old cat, then a week later a cat I was trying to tame for months abandoned from tenants leaving down the road, was older than I thought and the vet had to come to my house because he couldn't walk but had somehow made it to the front yard. He was gently given a seditive so the vet could see if he would be ok but unfortunately his kidneys had packed up.
Then 2 days later my darling dog suddenly stopped eating and drinking, so after 24 hrs I took her down to the vets and they said "It's time". I couldnt deal with that, so they gave her injections and pills and i brought her home but it was time.. She died while i was cuddling her the next day.
I don't understand how someone can just bugger off 1st with 4 kids in the worst pandemic of our lives, and 2nd, leaving thier dog and not for the 1st time either. There is a lot morally corrupt about this lot, but thier attitude toward thier dog shows how horrible they truly are .
Sending hugs!!! X
