Absolutely ridiculous. I’m late 30s but ‘back in my day’, it was tough shit if you didn’t like school, or you were teased, or you had learning difficulties (obviously you got extra support). Her reasoning is bull and she knows it.

Jace playing with that aerosol can right next to his eyes and mouth right under Sarah’s nose made me feel so anxious!

all that lecture explaining why they are home schooling, when really it should have only took 2 seconds. “Hi guys we are pulling the kids out of school because we can’t afford it.”

I actually decided I was no way going to watch this tonight as I knew it would wind me up too. I am lucky enough to have had one child (would have loved more but loads of dramas before and after having her) and totally get that rage feeling when you see parents neglecting to be decent parents.

no, they dont. They also constantly repeat work going into more depth as the children develop. It’s called a spiral curriculum. Children who fall behind or excel are given interventions. And that’s in bog standard state schools.

Watched a bit further (have to keep pausing to sort out kids!). If shes really saying Esme never learnt the basics from even year 3, why didn't they work with her more outside of school? Just because she was in full time school you can still do extra work with them the rest of the time if they just need more help. It's not about just being in school or just doing homeschooling, most parents have their children in school and also do things with them to help them learn/revise too!

I havent watched the vlog but it doesnt matter what Sarah says. The children aren't in school because it is convenient for them. That's it. No care for the children. Anything they say is just an excuse to fob off the ifam.

If Esme does have dyslexia then her school would get a specialist in. I have worked with dyslexic children and specialists. A child I taught in ks2 was diagnosed by a specialist and we decided with mum not to tell the child the name but just do the extra work at school and home. Telling the child can sometimes cause a stigma and the thought that they have something wrong with them or an excuse to not try.

It might just be she is behind and they dont want to admit that it has been made worse by going on so many holidays during the year. I would be surprised if a private school didnt bend over backwards to keep a paying customer... sorry parent, happy. Or they never bothered mentioning it at any time to any if the schools as they were too busy vlogging.

Did she mention Isla in the home school chat?
I did start to listen to the "home school chat" but no I had to switch off as she was just waffling on about the same excuse that it was the girls that was not learning enough at school (probably due to the fact they were never there) anyway I could listen no more to her going on about how fantastic home schooling is. She will never be able to teach them to GSCE level as she is no cleaver cookie herself far from it !!!

I have no personal experience of dyslexia but would have thought the school might have picked up on it given Esme has discernible difficulties with some aspects of learning. Lazy states that Esme struggled, seemingly enough to enrol and commit to Private School yet nobody including Lazy pursued any formal assessment.
Unbelievable, simply unbelievable

As soon as they land back on English soil those kids will be re-enrolled at school! (State school because the private school have “no places left”) Isabelle May be able to stay at home to keep chris company and babysit jace whilst Sarah goes shopping! No way will one of the most selfish mothers I’ve seen give you her free time to home school her kids and have them at home 24/7 not a chance in hell!

Exactly! I'm currently revising for my A levels and am constantly sending my teachers work for marking. We spent so much time looking over exemplar essays at both GCSE and A Level llessons. If Isabelle really can't be herself at school they could atleast get her tutors. There's no way she's gonna be able to teach herself all the required practicals for science or the quadratic formula in maths from some revision guides. She's going to get a shock when she actually sits an exam and gets it marked and sees that the summaries found in her books aren't enough to get any decent grades. I also can't believe they think she'll be ready to do her maths and English exams by next June. Actual year 11s who are a year ahead of her likely won't know all the content yet, how does lazy think Isabelle will get it all in less than a year with no actual teachers? They are so deluded.

*Isabelle drinking a mango, pineapple and papaya smoothie*

Isabelle *in her broadest Yorkshire accent*: "Wot were't fruit? Papaya? PAPAYA? .....In't that a rice dish or summit?"

Sarah Ingham: "Got no idea"

Take a bow homeschool. After "doing all of Spain" Isabelle thinks their famous national rice dish is called "PAPAYA?"

They know you tube is slowly dying so take them out of school and "travel" before we have to go out and work ( not that she will)

I laughed when she said that! Who confuses Paella with Papaya poor girl, starting to take after her mother
