I know! I can’t wait for the girls to release their review book on all the places they stayed! It’s going to be invaluable guide to Europe 😂
Exactly that she won't have to pay for the exams herself that way either. But i imagine this year will be far from enough, year 10 is hard work and if the plan is to go back to school she will have to go back into year 10. After a year of no socialising that will be even worse as she will be a year younger and have to explain that her parents took her on an extended holiday and all she learnt was how to swim.

But i personally don't think the plan is to travel a year straight, Izzy previously said she will see her friends again at Christmas. But i imagine they could be off on holiday again in the new year (money dependant) . And this is a holiday Lazy, if you only spend your time at pools and service stations. Travelling is actually exploring the sights and landmarks of the country and learning the history and culture. Not eating crap and sitting in the sun on your arses.

Even on holiday people spend a few days exploring and learning but not this odd bunch.

Also the snarky nasty bully face she pulled behind Esme’s back gave an inside look into how everything isn’t rainbows and unicorns on the sibling front.
I watched that face a few times and she definitely said something at the same time but I can't make it out. It was one syllable so I thought it was cow or wow maybe .

I really feel for those girls with the complete lack of education. My friend homeschools her children, and they visit libraries, museums, and have gone on field trips like to farms, fire station etc. There is a local group of about 10 families so the children have plenty of opportunity for mixing, learning about friendships etc. The children learn from each other. When done properly, home schooling is a great way for children, but you need to use resources out there, and be willing to educate yourself. No way Sarah or Chris are in a position to teach their children anything - either educational or about life skills! They have learnt nothing of the culture of any country they have visited. They haven’t explored languages, just expect everything to be said in English! They are simply an embarrassment to the UK claiming to be travellers
Even down to calling the currency pounds 🙈 they may as well be at home.

Children have really suffered in lock down mentally and now the minghams think lets just continue this, it is the same being isolated, only seeing friends and family on face time only difference is they are doing it with the added stress of being in a hot country, travelling by car and also trying to study for GCSEs. Home schooling is hard enough with a structured home routine and comforts let alone on the road. All to try and make money not chase dreams.

I personally think this is taking a toll on Izzys mental health (at a age where i can develop badly for some) i think this is why she reads a lot, reading was a comfort to me when i struggled mentally at that age i could lose myself in a another world away from the difficulties of my own. It also meant i would be left alone and not bothered and it doesn't make for good filming. I have noticed she is hardly shown in the pool and doesn't do that thing she used to do trying to get in every shot on camera

You can see the smiles aren't real and she seemed pretty disappointed with her Birthday behind the WOW's she has been conditioned to make
Izzy will grow to dislike her mum and creepy for this, if i were her i would be on the phone to my dad asking for him to bring. I just hope Lazy hasn't completely destroyed that relationship for them.

I think they are planning Europe till winter, back to UK then off to Lapland in Dec, some cottage with a hot tub for Xmas, then off somewhere else in the new year not sure where though. Europe in a caravan doesn't sound fun in January.

I agree, they’ll want to be somewhere they can pile the gifts sky high this Christmas, they won’t want to miss out on all those views and new subs. They can’t fit anything else in that Chavavan ( as we saw from Izzys birthday present opening)
They also hinted at a holiday for Esmes birthday next year

Also got to allow time before Xmas to take nana shopping to spend the pension she's saving up, and allow Sarah time to cackle her way around the shops looking at inflatable and dancing Santas.

Sarah does realise that this digital day means no social media posts at all! scheduled or not

oh and if she tries to accuse us of not taking part (cause it’s never her fault), i didn’t know of this until today and i’m not taking part 😂

During lockdown we struggled with home educating our children and I say that as hubby and I being Maths and Science teachers. History I had no idea what the answers could be. I don’t think any one person could teach GCSE to a high level in every subject. I mean a clever person maybe able to teach all to 4’s and 5’s but even that’s hard enough. Real teachers know their curriculum inside out with all the information they need to pass the exam. I would love to see lazy try a foundation Physics paper.

Why was the vlog more of the same? The bits in a new town and restaurant ( the actual interesting bits) were just a few minutes of the vlog. Just why?

The wow expression is really just learnt now. They all say it before they know what the present even is!

I don’t think lazy knows what to do with teenagers she is more of a baby/ child person with the plastic tat and toys. We have all come up with better presents on here for 15 year olds. The kindle is such a great idea. Reading that twilight book wouldn’t cause your arms to ache. They could have given her amazon vouchers to choose which books to download.

I am on a diet so actually liked the melon cake but they could have carved it a bit better. A 15 y old isn’t on a diet though so it was a bit meh

If Esme is happier being away from school then sarah needs to look closer as to why that is. Distractions in a class of 15 year sixes in a private school. I don’t think so.

I thought it was just for the cameras at first but was probably real, seems like isabelle just wants to be left alone when the camera is on her.
She didn’t realise the camera was on her as she was FaceTimeing, she only noticed after the fact when Lazy started cackling, so I’d say definitely real.

Quite surprised they’ve not used it as a chance to take another day off

Hi Sarah.

As you mentioned that us 'haters' just don't understand what unschooling is, I did some research and found you this. This is from an unschooling blog by a family in the US- it's their CURRICULUM PLAN for the year they have taken the time to draw up, taking into consideration their child's interests. The child in question is in ninth grade which is academically speaking the equivalent of year 10, but remember that ninth graders in the US aren't working towards specific syllabus exams like GCSE students are. However, take a look at the level of planning involved at the start of the year.

You might find the section on unschooling through travel particularly interesting.

Just to add as well, before you even THINK about saying 'but not having a plan is what works best for our family.'

I don't care. Not having a plan might well work best for your family. But Isabelle is fifteen years old, and in two years' time she needs to have an absolute minimum of five good GCSEs under her belt if she's going to have a choice of career paths, and the chance of getting a good, stable job with a decent income. Why wouldn't you want that for your daughter?

The only way Isabelle is going to get those GCSEs is with structured, syllabus-specific learning, starting right now. This is quite literally make or break time for your daughter's future.

Yep! Off to Switzerland you go! 😂😂😂 My husband thought it was a good idea to try to groom our beautiful little pom. He looked bloody awful! I went mad and actually cried and told him of he attempts it again I'll cut his hair when he's sleeping to see how he likes it. My husband is coming to Switzerland with you. 😂😂😂
Maybe Lazy can help you both since she has become a pro at cutting hair with kitchen scissors... If you want uneven, lo
There is a very easy way for Creepy and Lazy to shut down the debate about their decision to home school - SHOW US! Don’t spend 10 minutes of a vlog talking about how you’re right and everyone else is wrong, and how people are ignorant. Just go through all of what you’re doing! Show us the resources, how you structure it, how you are cross checking that you’re meeting the girls’ needs and those of the national curriculum, and the way in which you’re prepping yourselves to teach. If you’ve done all this research in to why it’s the right decision for you and you’re doing it anyways, then you should have this info already! Plus, it would be useful for lots of people considering doing it.

Prove everyone on Tattle wrong and do it - I dare you!
Many YT family channels are showing how they set up for homeschooling this yr. At least the ones I watch. They have shown the materials they use, the workspace, the program, etc. She has shown nothing except for some kiddie workbooks she bought on Amazon. I don't know how it is over there but here in America you need to join a program. You get evaluated as well over the course of the yr. if it's the same over there why doesn't she do a vlog about it explaining to all her kiddie Fam what's going on. This is no joke. If she were American she could get into a lot of trouble for not properly educating the girls. It's a crime. I teach so I'm pretty familiar with this. There are many programs that are free as well. Every child is entitled and obligated to a free education here in America. Is it the same in the UK? If you out there don't think the girls are getting what they need you have a right to report them I would think

Every child is entitled to a free education in the UK too- and the vast majority are educated in the state system. The Minghams are just too good to take Isabelle and Esme back to the state school with their tail between their legs.

I have a friend that unschools her 5 children. They have a planned schedule and prior to lockdown they would attend home educator groups weekly where the children got to mix and socialise with others their age. They visit lots of educational places such as museums, art galleries, stately homes etc as well as learning all the basic subjects. Unschooling doesn't mean throwing them a workbook for a few hours a week.

We are very lucky in the UK to have one of the most superior education system in the world and lazy is now trying to tell us she’s “educated” enough to teach her own kids. FFS 🤦🏼‍♀️ Jesus even wept at that. The past 6 months have been hell trying to home school my kids and I take my hat off to teachers who do that everyday. I have a post grad and I can tell you now I really really struggled to teach my kids. Lazy’s family are a family of degenerate under achievers so of course they will be supportive of the home schooling. In fact most of Lazy’s relatives education has probably happened in the jail so......... Steve and Zelda who are decent, hard working citizens object because they know that there is now way that two could home school on the road. In my book Zelda and Steve have went up in my estimation for that alone.
