I think it's the fact that IK's relationship with EJ was used as mitigation of his sentence that has prompted people to finally speak up, as any lingering doubt that she may have left him has been removed.

Yes she does. I saw them both on Mr Tumble once, years ago. I remember someone (Janice Turner? not sure, might have been someone else, but was a woman columnist/feature writer) saying something along the lines of having a child with special needs ruins your life, and IK went for her in a rather brilliant piece of journalism.

I think Eric Joyce’s case has shown that not only can you be guilty of looking at Cat A images over years, but that even if you’re tried and found guilty it’ll all be ok, there’ll hardly be any societal implications. They might as well have told all the paedophiles to crack on with it.

It’s telling victims of this that they don’t matter and then imagine being the police and having to look through all those horrendous, heartbreaking images to categorise them, to prevent this from happening to other victims, and then him getting barely more than a slap on the wrist.

I’d imagine the outcome of this case will embolden others, there are few consequences.
