So the police visited your house , excellent safe guard. Why did the have to? Did you not engage. I know nobody who has police check in on their kids .

Same. And if I had a knock at the door from “overzealous” police I certainly wouldn’t be tweeting about it, even if I thought they were wrong. You couldn’t waterboard that out of me, I’m absolutely horrified for her.

Please add your own scenarios why the police would turn up after 3 weeks?
The school and liason officers have been screamed at?
Non contact has happened,

Sounds highly suss that. Police have got better things to do than monitor kids school attendance. School have despatched the bizzies cos she's known to be aggressive when approached is my best bet.

Unsure if it’s everywhere but where I am if your child is off school and you haven’t contacted the school with a reason they will send a member of the parent support team out and if they have no contact then the police. It does sound crazy but maybe there is an element of truth to her story as well as some possible concerns. I have a child in high school and one in primary school both schools have this policy 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don’t have any experience where I live, but I have a friend in another county whose school sends staff out to do welfare checks once attendance drops by a certain amount. It must vary county to county.

I don’t believe for a minute though that the police are the first port of call for school absence in Kent. The school must have tried to engage her first, but she was probably napping off the Twitter night shift every time they tried to call.

There is robust anti attendance in Kent. If you don't answer the door there is little they can do till they call the police.
How much that costs doesn't bother her, because she has no understanding of what socialism is. Take socialism out of it you workshy ponce.

I’m absolutely bleeping gobsmacked. Imagine being a bad enough parent the police come to your door anyway but then gleefully tweeting it because you are desperate for a tiny morsel of human interaction is vile. She’s a scumbag.

When the police came to my mums door I was in big trouble. Even if someone had given my details. Getting in trouble with the police is not a cool thing .

Very peculiar, I've never heard of the Police doing visits for non-attendance, I thought it was EWO's or similar who did that.

Oh Sarah, if you're not billy bullshitting then you've really told on yourself there.

Didn't we all say she'd be known to the police hence why she can't avail herself of their Someone Doesn’t Like Me On The Internet services.

Could the Dr have been involved? Multi-agency meeting?

I wonder if she reported us all while they were there?

In other news, apparently 'orange pine' furniture is fashionable with teens in Kent. Who knew that Kent kids were so particular about their furniture needs.

No doubt she’s known the police and I bet everyone has “heard” of her locally. Imagine living next door to it. Disgusting woman. Awful.!

I've been stopped and searched by police once¹, and got a letter sent to my parents' because of it.

Much to my mum's complaint, not at me, but because I was over 18 at the time and she argued that it was none of her business and was a breach of data protection. She got an apology for "an administrative error" out of them 😅

And regarding clothes, I'm 38 and they go over the back of the sofa until I get pissed off with them being there.

¹Under the Anti-social Behaviour Act due to someone nicking a "Cyclists Dismount" sign. We weren't, at that exact moment, doing anything wrong. And no one actually *lied* to the police...
