How often do you get a takeaway?

We used to get takeaway at least once a week but 5 or 6 years ago my partner became a vegan and we stopped getting them as there are no vegan options near us. I sometimes go to the chippy, maybe every three or four months. I really miss takeaways 😭

These days, we don't order at all. The only takeway we used to get was pizza but we completely stopped since we built an outdoors fire pizza oven.

I don’t live in the U.K., but in Belgium. Here a takeaway is a bag of chips and a piece of meat/burger/spring rolls on the side. It literally costs us £8 and we get it once a week/every ten days

We used to about once a month but during lockdown ( 1 2 and 3, yawn) we make sure that we get a take away on a Saturday from an independent restaurant near to us, a different one every Saturday.

I used to do it every so often, like a few times a month. It was one of my resolutions to eat at home way more often, if only I knew how often I'd be doing it haha...

Since the beginning of pandemic/lockdowns, I have ordered home one takeaway (burger) and also went to pick up takeaway from a couple places when I couldn't be arsed to cook. I have lost the habit though, and all my junk food takeaways have made me sick this year so that has worked for the best lol. If I can't be bothered to cook, I just whip up something easy at home.If it is a specific meal that I'm really craving, I'll still go and buy it but that hasn't happened apart from that one time where I was literally dreaming of udon noodles 😂 Haven't had a McDonalds in over three years and the one time I've been into Burger King in the past few years was some weeks ago when I was craving onion rings. I do miss the fries sometimes. 🍟

Never, as none deliver here. Pre covid we used to eat out at least once a week at the weekend.

Hardly ever. I've probably only had 4 or 5 takeaways in my life and the none in the last 3 years. They always arrive tepid. Last one I had was a Taco Bell for the novelty factor as I've only ever had them in the US before. It was revolting and so, so salty, Prefer to eat out (pre-Covid times anyway).

We were quite bad there for a while and getting a couple a week just out of sheer laziness and getting into a bit of a rut, but now we have limited it to once a week if at all and feel much better for it.

lately there's only one place we get takeaway from, we love their food and know the owners so want to support them. but very rarely anything else because the financial situation is not the best :( at least it's better for my health and weight

It varies.

I live right by a Chinese, so I have to admit there are many a day where I simply cannot be bothered to cook so will pick myself up a solitary chow mein or half chips and rice. Especially if it is only me eating and I'm not fancying having something I've made such as Spag Bol or stew a second night on the trot with my one year old.

I almost always order in on a Friday or a Saturday though. The town I live in, doesn't have much choice in terms of takeaways. When I go back to my dads in London I always have a riot and will order in every day I am there.

I’m way too tight these days. Don’t know what’s wrong with me. I’ll order something and it’ll cost £25 for the both of us and I’ll think duck me. That’s half the weekly food shop 😳

About twice a year. We live rural but there are a few places prepared to drive five or six miles to deliver but the quality of the food is poor. Last one was October when I was alone and working on a garden project, one before that was @April besides, I love cooking.

We used to at least once a week or maybe a fortnight!

But I really got into my cooking and eating healthier and I much prefer that. We've not had any this year (minus the hungover McDonald's on New Years Day) and I feel a lot better for it! Their so expensive really aren't they? 20 quid for 2 meals is ridiculous. I was finding towards the end of last year, after making so many proper nice at home meals i was feeling grim after a takeaway. I much prefer cooking

Only ever McDonald's which has been once a week ish since I moved (used to be way more). Mainly cause the McDonalds is half an hour away which is a ball ache. I absolutely love cooking and I feel like whenever I get a takeaway curry or pizza (not to sound like a total head) I always end up eating it thinking that I could make a nicer one because they're so hit and miss, sometimes they're lovely other times they're bland or lukewarm.

we stopped buying takeaway so often because we kept getting lukewarm pizza. Tesco have a pizza meal deal thing that £10 and is actually quite nice.

Usually twice a month. Occasionally one extra if it’s been a rough week but corona has massively made us cut down our spending
