Had one everyday this week. No motivation to cook or eat healthy.
That sounds extremely suffocating to me! I’d hate it if my boyfriend was planning what I’d eat, fair enough if it’s only his dinner he’s planning but surely you should be allowed to eat what you fancy once in a while? Seems quite controlling and dare I say it, toxic. No judgement on your relationship but just sounds so suffocating!!Back when I was living with my friend, we'd probably get a takeaway once a week? I live with my boyfriend now and he is a bit of a health nut, wasn't allowed takeaways as a kid or anything. It's a real point of contention between us, which sounds so daft but I find him so controlling about food sometimes. He plans our meals for the week and then we have to stick to it. He doesn't understand that sometimes I just fancy a pizza or a chippy tea, just because! I can't exactly plan when I am in the mood to get takeaway. We have them maybe once a month at the moment. I don't think I would go back to having a takeaway every week, but I do find it really annoying that when I do fancy it, I get shut down with "but I am going to cook x for tea" when 99% of the time, it could wait until the next day!
I totally get how it sounds - it's the only thing we ever argue about. I think it'll get easier once we're out of lockdown as it'll be easier to be a bit more spontaneous. I am involved in meal planning so do get a say but sometimes I'm like "yes I know I said I wanted sausage casserole today but you asked me 4 days ago and I've since changed my mind". I reckon he's got some issues with food tbh as he thinks he was really large when he was younger. He wasn't, he was within normal BMI which also annoys me as I've struggled with my weight since pubertyI got really bad with it. I was ordering McDonald’s etc every other day! It was making me feel like absolute tit and I had to actually delete my Uber eats app to stop it from getting out of control!
