What is the point of this post? It seems like she’s just trying to brag that she’s got lots of money and she’s ✨no longer afraid to spend it✨
Especially that last comment - “don’t live your life afraid to spend anything” just comes across very privileged. Of course, in todays climate, people are going to be afraid of spending money, some people don’t have a choice to spend money how they want.
idk this post just rubbed me the wrong way🙄
Incredible food?! When she travels she buys the same stuff she has at home, makes boring oats and bagels

Also, I haven’t watched her videos, but… doesn’t she live at home?? Not knocking her hard work, but it’s really easy to be frugal and save when you live with your parents?

It is privileged for sure but there is a lot of people that can relate to that as well. I myself grew up "poor" and my parents had a lot of fear around spending money which they transfered to me so I also grew up afraid of spending money because I had the idea that you had to save as much as possible just in case something bad happened. Wanted to go on a vacation? Nooo, better save your money "just in case". Wanted to buy a new dress? Nooo, maybe I loose my job tomorrow and I regret it. And like this. Now I am lucky to have a high income but the journey from being afraid to spend to being able to enjoy life can be tough for some people. For me being able to do things that I enjoy and cost money without feeling guilty has been a big achievement.

Yeah I totally get that, and it is definitely relatable for some. I just hate the comment about not being afraid to spend money. I’ve just spent the past 6 or so months struggling with unemployment (finally working again!) and, although I wouldn’t say I’ve been struggling financially as such, I’ve had to be really careful about what I choose to buy and spend money on, and having to forfeit things I actually want over important things like petrol and car insurance because I wasn’t sure when I’d be working again. Not being afraid to spend money is a good message to send out, and relatable to some but also a bit of a slap in the face for people who really can’t afford to splash out on things that will make them happy like Holly. And also coming from someone like Holly, who constantly does/says things that are really out of touch and show her privilege, it just seems like another opportunity for her to remind us of how privileged she is.

New video...lots of roaming around London, excessive exercise, bland cooking and another visit to clean kitchen. Rock and Roll!

I don’t believe all the excitement around food - it’s too over the top

I don't know why one could be excited around that food when it is dry as anything and the most flavouring comes from nutritional yeast. The food from Clean Kitchen looked nice and the excitement was getting some food with actual flavours in it, I reckon.

I skipped through the video and they seem like a boring couple where food and exercise are the only things that they seem to care and do together. Imagine going on a double date with the two of them, I feel like they wouldn't have much to talk about other than about a run they were on or food, and maybe a little about travelling and that's it.

She showed a clip of angelos rabbit in her video and wow.. it’s in a tiny filthy hutch. It’s genuinely verging on cruel!
Can’t believe she’d leave it in a video

Oh man lol. I want to be supportive, but. So many just slightly “off” things. Sooo gender normative and just … idk.

This shift from Holly has actually baffled me.

This is the same girl who only a few years (if not months ago) was completely devoted to her studies, contemplated asexuality and appeared to find the very notion of talking about a guy or sex unthinkable.

Now, she had a holiday fling/FWB situation, has a boyfriend who she's around 24/7, is openly talking about sex, is doing videos wearing a thong and her bum out the whole time and is partnering with what is effectively a porn site.

If she feels more sex positive, then good for her, as it's nothing to be ashamed of. I'm just more alarmed how it's a complete 180 from her previous content, which makes it feel less genuine and kinda forced? If she acknowledged the fact she's had sex or a boyfriend, great, but it's now present everywhere with sponsorships and doing videos in lingerie.

It's like she's incapable of dealing without extremes.

It seems to me like she’s kind of going through a faux/second puberty. She was essentially sick before, and now she’s experiencing all the hormones and sex drive that she never had (and “mistook” or misrepresented as asexuality - just fyi for people who might not know, asexuality does *not* mean low/no sex drive, although ace people *can* have low/no sex drive just like people of any orientation can). Most people just, uh… don’t live this stage of their life publicly. I don’t think she’s wrong to, but I would be very uncomfortable about this stuff being up on the internet and it wouldn’t surprise me if it eventually gets privated.

Imagine the whole YouTube thing doesn't work out and she has to go out and get a real job. A quick Google and a potential employer sees that - they'd never hire her!
