Expectation: have a quick glance at Insta during my coffee break to rest and recharge from work-related bs
Reality: have a quick glance at Insta during my coffee break, immediately get hit with footage of Holly's mum runway-modelling Narna clothing and a bumbag in the most obnoxious way possible-
Why?? just why??

Is narna even a thing? You can’t not do any marketing for it for a year and suddenly start again and expect people to be excited to buy it. I wonder if she sells more than 2 items a day.

Interesting that she’s called it a “sustainable collection”. True sustainability would be not bothering to make this stuff in the first place. It’s glorified YouTuber merch and there’s basically no demand for it from her followers.

I was wondering if she sells more than 2 items a month. It's expensive.

Yeah that, and besides I wouldn't want to buy anything that serves to supply the Duuuuude with additional income tbh. Like Holly may be annoying but her sister is a whole other level of annoying imho

ETA omg did they go to Los Angeles cause he's named Angelo, is that the reason? Why have I never noticed that before... new tinfoil hat theory unlocked lmao
yeah she had the opportunity to title the video 'los angelos' but she didn't....well holly you just lost a life-long subscriber, goodbye

now seriously, have you seen her latest girl talk/q&a video? she answers very private questions like what is the strangest place she had sex and such...let's hope no future recruiter sees this
btw it's the shower if you were wondering
she also states that she'll film a whole video about how she lost her V and what to do when it's your 1st time, and also a whole other video just focused on her laser removal experience...seriously? i find it very odd how she tries to 'educate' her audience and play the expert about stuff that is literally new and recent to her.

moreover, this video is sponsored by a website that offers p0rn...wtf???

Yeah I'm half convinced that porn company only found her cause she has ADULT in so many of her video titles. Maybe they looked at it and went 'yes, she seems like a good match for a sponsorship' lmao

Her Narna merch isn’t anything new or exciting. You can go to any shop and buy 100 items exactly like it for so much cheaper, I don’t understand the point of a hoodie and a fanny pack. If you’re gonna spend so much money on a hoodie would you not get a brand people know ?? Or not branded at all

Narna and it's milquetoast products have irritated me since the beginning, and I'm sure I've commented about it in an earlier thread. I looked at these new releases out of curiosity, and unsurprisingly it was disappointment yet again. I get that Narna's nothing more than an easy money grab, like most influencer merch. But she doesn't even try to make a half decent brand out of it. If you look at twosetviolin's merch, that stuff has really creative designs and relates to their channel content. Whereas Holly just comes up with a silly word (which most people won't understand what it's referencing), and slaps it on the most generic Walmart-type clothing.

i know we usually complain about youtubers who advertise stuff they don't actually use, but holly is right at other side of the spectrum

her eye surgery was a paid ad, which i find very irresponsible taking into consideration how delicate and crucial these sorts of surgeries are. i mean would you trust a doctor that contacts you to offer a free treatment in exchange of some views and traffic into his website?

now, her new mattress is also a sponsored collab. she mentions that mattresses are very important bc your sleep health depends very much on them, which is true! also, they usually last a decade or so, so you must be careful choosing the right mattress for you and you back and not take the first free one that someone offers you

i understand that if you're given free samples of shampoo or new vegan products you would like to try them, but i think she should not accept these sort of collaborations in which her sight or body wellness are involved. with all the money she earns she could do some research, speak to different clinics and shops, and pay for the best surgeon and the best mattress she could find

I actually gasped out loud at the idea of taking a sponsored EYE SURGERY. Vom.

I still don't get how someone who has never had a "real" job where you are juggling multiple things at once feels like they can teach people about productivity.

The Narna stuff needs to go its so bland! Don't even know how it's a business. Just merchandise and not really that. I'd never buy it

Yeah honestly if it was real merch at least it would feel less weird to me? Like if the hoodies said "Holly Gabrielle fan" or whatever, or if they had some artwork related to her channel - I still wouldn't go out and buy it, but at least it would make sense to me that some of her fans might like to buy it.

But who in their right mind wants to spend lots of money on a hoodie that just says 'banana' in baby speech? Like it's not even funny or clever or original!
