Considering it’s forecast to be the hardest storm to ever hit Jamaica, I don’t think anyone is going to be going there anytime soon. I’d imagine you’ll need to wait till it’s over before TUI make any decisions though.

They said that for America though didn't they? I remember them saying it was going to be very bad and the worst storm etc and then it downgraded by the time it got to land
It’s one of the strongest hurricanes ever seen in the Atlantic. Even if it downgraded, which it’s not meant to, it’s still going to be horrific

Booked Benidorm for November, staying in the old town. Is it as bad as it rep makes out or is the strip and general madness easy to avoid? Also what is there to do there?
Old town is lovely and far enough away from the strip. All easily avoided anyway, you can go along the beach front or some of the wee side streets to avoid the strip area. I do love Benidorm, something for everyone and lots of nice little bars/restaurants. We’ve gone to the theme park and the waterpark, also the marine land and go karts as we always like to be doing something. Old town is lovely for a wee explore.

It has made landfall in Jamaica now with 185mph winds. People have already been killed.

I'm going to Dominican Republic next week and I've been worrying about you all day. Sending lots of love ❤

We changed our holiday to St Lucia, TUI were great. A few extra costs as different airport, new seat reservation costs, but overall we're getting a pretty good deal and still getting our holiday. So sad for Jamaica, but hopefully they are able to get themselves up and running soon as tourism is so important to them.

Booked Skiathos next year for our first family holiday! Anyone been? How did you find it? I do a lot of research anyway but just interested in people's experiences

Trying to decide whether to book a black Friday deal or wait till Jan sales. It's a tour they have 20% off right now (£200) or wait till Jan. Last year black Friday was 25% off and Jan sales was 30%

How fixed are you on the specific tour / dates - if you can be flexible then it might be worth waiting. If you have your heart set on one specifically then I would just book it.

Set on the specific dates (or dates within a certain time) only the one date I can do within this time frame. But I could change the tour to another or just go solo and not do a tour. My flights from the UK are to a main airport I spend the night there and then get a flight internally to where the tour I want to do starts so I could just not get that internal flight and do something where I originally land however I've already travelled that area but it is an option.
It changed colour on the website when it's nearly booked so I could keep an eye on it and book it if needed before Jan. None of the dates are booked fully even the one this month.
I will probably end up just booking it this month as I should get around £1k overtime pay this month so I'd be able to fully pay it off

We went last year for a week in September. Absolutely loved it. It’s very laid back and as in all the Greek islands , people really friendly.
Gorgeous food and perfect weather.

we stayed in an apartment near Skiathios town.
would go back in a heartbeat!

was actually looking for next June, but flight prices are really high.

Going to Belgrade next week, Munich in the first few days in Decemeber and then to Helsinki/Tampere a week later 🤭 I haven't told anyone yet about the latter IRL plus despite it being mostly for a concert I've never gone on holidays before during Christmas season (I'm not counting going to Malaga when I was 9 in December LOL)

Evening all. Hoping someone can advise on here. My passport has a couple of small grease spots on the photo page (which are visible) and I’m not sure whether I need to get it replaced as it would be considered ‘damaged’ and denied my next flight. I flew on it last week with Wizz air to Moldova with no issues and we’re planning to go to Jordan at the end of this month (hoping to go on an escorted tour, yet to book this). Do I risk travelling on it again, and maybe being denied travel (and loose about 3k for the trip) or hope and pray I send off and get a replacement in time. Thoughts please and thanks!
