I was thinking canaries but unsure where would be nears bars etc and if they’d even be busy that time of year. I know some won’t want to go Tunisia, I’ve been before and enjoyed it though. Morocco was another idea as I know some want to go there. Thailand/Malaysia as well possibly

Anyone got a suggestion for anywhere hot end of November for a 40th birthday? Somewhere near where’s we could go out on the day of the birthday. 10/12 days for less than £1500pp (possibly could go up a bit). If all inclusive a good place for veggies
Thailand weather would be excellent at the end of Nov. I wouldn't go all inclusive, eating out is cheap there particularly if you eat local cuisine. Cancun would also be great weather for then and there are a big range of all inclusives in terms of price; budget up to luxury.

Thailand is definitely the top of our list. We have been before and loved it as well so I hope we do go

Recommend Mexico in November. Have been several times in November and always had hot weather. Can have a few downpours but they don’t last very long

Any recommendations for December Christmas to new years travels
It depends on what you are looking for really.

I've been to Thailand over Christmas before and it was great. I've also been in NYC over Christmas. Very different trips but both great and would recommend.

Just booked New York the end of October! Anyone have any tips? What will the weather be like then? Thanks!

Looking at our next big trip in Winter 2024, and we’re thinking about SE Asia but it’s so far out of our typical comfort zone!

Anyone got any thoughts/advice about Vietnam, Cambodia, maybe Thailand, and how much is achievable in 2-2.5 weeks, how easy it is to get around etc?

Husband really wants to go to Vietnam, we both want to see Angkor Wat and I’d like some nice beach resort relaxing time.

We have seen some good value itineraries but we’re both fairly introverted so I don’t know how we’d put up with a group setting for so long! Normally we’d book everything independently but I’m a little bit worried about food (I’m picky!) and travelling to so many places so don’t know whether a guided tour would be easier for a stress head like myself 🤣 any thoughts welcome!

I loved Thailand haven’t been to the other two places though. The food was amazing and I definitely don’t think you’d struggle to find food you’d like

Loved Thailand but that was 15 years ago I went, don’t think much has changed though.
My dream is to go to Vietnam, but that’s off the cards for a while as have a dog now and won’t leave him for more than a week!

I went to Vietnam a couple of years ago for Christmas. We were there a couple of weeks. Flew into Hanoi spent time there then onto hoi An then finished up in Ho Chi Minh.
The interconnecting flights are very easy, the food is wonderful, it’s cheap for delicious food.
I loved Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh but I wasn’t really keen on hoi an. It’s very commercialised and a bit tacky if I am being honest. It’s a beautiful country, I would definitely like to go back at some point. There is a LOT of development ongoing ( big casinos/ resort hotels )
The weather will be hotter from Jan - feb usually.

I'm not sure what you both enjoy doing but I love Lisbon. The food is amazing and there's lots to see and do. You can spend a whole day in Sintra

Likely to book Algarve's tomorrow for mid October. Probably base in Faro then hop about from there. Probably 4-5 days sounds about right for it.

I absolutely love Thailand. Favorite place on earth. We go again in February for 3 weeks. We fly into Phuket and then travel about an hour north to Khao Lak. There are loads of ways you can do the islands etc, you can definitely fit quite a lot in for 2/3weeks.

I'm off to Krakow next week, for a wedding. But we have 3 days to ourselves. Staying just off the square. Wondering if can anyone recommend some nice little bars, restaurants, or places to see. We might do Auschwitz one of the days too.

If you like Dubrovnik, then Zadar is a fantastic alternative. Less packed and less touristy, but a gorgeous old city. Handy Ryanair flights too....

Ooh Krakow is lovely, really nice walkable city.

We did a daytrip to Auschwitz that also included a visit to a salt mine on the way back which was really lovely, quite nice to see something so lovely after a sad morning. It was a full day thing though as it was quite a drive from the city to Auschwitz IIRC.

In terms of bars and restaurants, we had a lovely steak at Pimiento Argentino, and CK Browar Bar was a cool venue in a cellar. Check out Okraglak, good for trying local food and there were a few bars around there too. I just remember food and drinks generally being really cheap, the exception being the steak restaurant but that was our last night of the holiday treat and it was well worth it. Have an amazing time!

Thank you so much! I think we are only going to do the half day tour of Auschwitz, early start but should be back into Krakow about 3pm so still have the evening to explore. I've been told its a lovely city so I'm really looking forward to it, will definitely check out your recommendations :)
