I think he’s been responsible for so many more crimesA friend of my sister in law was getting a lot of hassle from.a guy who she met in a club. He wouldn't take no for an answer when she said she didn't want to go out with him. This guy turned out to be Levi Bellfield.
Oh definitely. I lived near where poor Marsha McDonnell was murdered.I think he’s been responsible for so many more crimes
I don’t know of any but I always wonder if I’ve ever walked past someone who has just killed someone, or if someone has ever thought about killing me? Ive said to my partner a few time’s when driving that would could pass someone or pull up at the traffic lights next to someone who has a dead body in their car and never know!
I’ve just read this back and realised I watch far too many crime documentaries and dramas
we must be from the same area. I was a teenager when this happened and would walk in that area every day to go to school, scared everyone for ages.Oh definitely. I lived near where poor Marsha McDonnell was murdered.
I remember The Suzy Lamplugh trust, which was run by her family, releasing rape alarms. I worked for the NHS at the time and we were given one free. No, thankfully not. But I did work with Suzy Lamplugh's sister. Can't imagine what that family went/is going through.
Yessss I love Mindhunter. I’ve always been absolutely fascinated with this kind of stuff. This is the most fascinating part of it all.
Childhood trauma is very common for serial killers so there’s definitely the environmental factor with it but genetically are they predisposed?
Or is the ability to kill within us all, but our upbringings and socialisation teach us right from wrong and create a boundary that decency won’t let us cross?
I love trying to understand it and am fascinated by the serial killer interviews and the creation of behavioural science (made famous by the Mindhunter series) and the original book the series was based on is really interesting.
This wasn’t Carl Langdell was it?My dad use to work with a girl who was murdered by a guy she went on a date with. She was very savvy, told her parents where she was going etc. But the guy seemed a bit ‘off’ and got really drunk. She helped him back to his hotel and because he was in such a state walked him to his room. He then killed and raped her, wrapped her body in a rug and dumped her in a woods. He was later caught and confessed to it all and that he had planned to do it.
