Have you ever known someone who turned out to be a murderer?

I used to talk to a guy online many moons ago, weirdly last year he popped into my head and I wondered what had happened to him so I did a quick Google search which revealed he had stabbed his girlfriend over 80 times as she had decided to end the relationship. He claimed he couldn't remember most of the attack and it was self defence but the police had to pull him off her dying body. He was a bit overbearing at times when I chatted to him, especially when he found out I had started seeing someone even though there was never anything remotely romantic between us but I never thought he would be capable of something so horrific. Just absolutely sickens me that he could of done that to someone.

Not a murderer but i met someone through a mutual friend and went on a few dates, then found out he had been in prison and was a convicted sex offender and had sex with a 15 year old when he was 30... not even joking i had a panic attack when i found out and felt i couldn't trust anyone for AGES. I ended up blocking him AND the mutual friend as she seemed to think he was normal!

I love this thread! Also not a murderer but I went to a catholic high school. When I was in year 10/11 our school Chaplin left randomly and nothing was ever said about it which was unusual as he did a lot round the school and we were always in mass with him etc. A while later it came out that he was convicted of pedophillia. Made me everyone feel sick that he spent every day round 800+ children aged 11-18!

Back when I was 20 I dated a guy who was friends with someone called Stephen Port. Whenever he was around he always used to give me the creeps.
Skip forward a few years and I’m single, talking to people on a dating app. One night I can’t sleep and I’m horny and up pops Stephen. Asking if I want to go around to his for a hook up.
Bare in mind he gave me the creeps, and was really nothing to look at, so I politely said thanks, but no thanks.
A year later he’s been arrested for killing at least 3 guys. He was the Grindr Serial Killer from Barking, East London.
It sounds bad, but me being shallow probably saved my life. If he were better looking I would have gone to his place that night

Yeah, Sheridan Smith is playing one of the victims sisters. I think it’s going to be on BBC1

When I was young My next door neighbour was murdered by a man who lived in our road. She was about 12 years old. I can vaguely remember the man, it devastated everyone where I lived especially my mum.

I’m so sorry. They should have done their jobs properly the first time.

Yes definitely!

We must live nearby!
And now another one this week

have you seen the people sticking up for her? Absolutely ridiculous. One of my friends used to be mates with her and she said she’s been on drugs for years.
I know her family too and it’s the most awful thing i’ve ever heard of. I mean she always seemed rough to me but not murder your gorgeous baby girl rough. Just like have a fight in spoons on a Friday rough.

Has anyone met a known murderer that’s came out of prison or has a new identity?
Not personally, a friend of a friend and my pedant of a husband says it wasn’t murder but culpable homicide. he and one other had killed someone in settling a score drugs wise, but apparently had asked if he could plead insanity as he’d been ‘out his face’ and only went along as an accomplice to scare the guy.

Didn’t have a new identity and appeared to be ‘rehabilitated’ on his release but was recently due to appear in court for throwing a heavy object at someone.

You all remember the M25 Rapist?

Well, he is originally from Co Durham and when I was a kid we lived a few doors up from his dad. His son Tony had children and for a few months I used to babysit them...

His dad and sister were lovely but there was always a funny vibe i got from him.

Was that in Basildon?

Little different but I worked in a up market law office and I was an admin assistant for a newly qualified Lawyer. She was very pretty, intelligent and posh.

Reading the Sunday paper and who was in it but her. She was apparently a herion addict and paying for it by prostitution at lunch time at work. It was a big scandal.

I may have...but I'm not sure as the case is still unsolved. A lady was murdered in my town and on the day she was murdered she came to see me at my work. In tow with her was someone who I believe was one of the suspects. I was one of the last people to speak to her as she was killed in her home about an hour later. Police came to see me at work a few months later to take a statement about what I remembered of the day and their behaviour. This was about 15 years ago now, they still don't have anybody for it. Poor lady.

My husband is a doctor in a not very nice area so he's had quite a few patients who were not very nice people. Most recently one of his patients was arrested on suspicion of murdering one of his other patients a couple of weeks ago.

No not really. He wasn't really noticed by myself, we were in different groups but others said he was strange, they assumed it was because he was in a religious family.

Not a murderer but I worked with who I thought was a lovely lad a few years older than me, so friendly and likeable about 10 years ago.

He would give me (and others) lifts home from late shifts when the weather was really bad and would go out of his way to help people at work.

I left that workplace and a few years later seen him on the news charged and convicted with grooming a 14 year old girl

A friend of my sister in law was getting a lot of hassle from.a guy who she met in a club. He wouldn't take no for an answer when she said she didn't want to go out with him. This guy turned out to be Levi Bellfield.
