I remember Wooton correctly reported on a few stories that turned out to be true, for example Megxit. Not sure if it's gay connections, but he clearly has some connections.

I believe Wooton has very good sources within the royal court for a simple reason. Wooton is gay and about 90% of the male staff that work for the royals are gay. I believe he likely moves in the same social circles as his sources. I believe this story because 1) ITV is clearly pro-Meghan and Harry and 2) for months there have been rumours that someone in the British media was acting as mole for H&M giving them a heads up about major royal stories so H&M could release their own stories to try and steal the spotlight. It's very interesting that H&M always have a announcement or appearance lined up right when a major story breaks. The finger has long been pointed at either Tom Bradby or Chris Ship (both from ITV). I've always assumed it would Bradby over Ship as Ship doesn't really have personal connections to the royals, he just reports on them.

That's very interesting. I've been wondering for ages how the Harkles always seem to know how to upstage royal events. They might have birthdays, anniversaries and regular scheduled events all noted down in a diary but it doesn't explain how they always pick a day to promote themselves to overshadow another member of the family doing a charity event.

William is right not to trust Bradby and Scobie will surely never be invited to any press gathering by the royal family ever again.

Why is it quite a claim though? I think maybe you and some others are reading it as if he got personal notes from Family members. I read it as that he received messages (whether by email or phone) from persons close to the royals appreciating his defence of them. It could be cortiers or frustrated aristo cousins or simply just friends the royals mingle with.

The Court of Appeal isn't sitting until 13 April, so assuming that ANL have appealed, there will be a stay on publication of the apology and other matters until their application to appeal is considered by CoA (according to Warby's ruling published 15 March). I 'think' we can read into the non-appearance of an apology that ANL are seeking permission from CoA to appeal.

I’ve dipped in and out of the Piers thread and people are seemingly too blinded by their contempt for him to understand what he’s trying to expose. If someone more neutral had called them out publicly and to a wide audience with regards to all of their interview inaccuracies, things might have gone differently maybe?

Problem is the more neutral ones haven't got the guts to put their heads above the parapet like Piers did. The neutral ones will come out against H&M when it's safe to do so, but it needed someone like Piers to lead the way because most of the rest are sheep.
Loud and opinionated is part of what he is and there aren't many like him around. Thick skin or not, he's got the courage of his convictions and was prepared to take a the flak for calling H&M out over their lies about the Monarchy. Good for him!
