I concur with many here that KC is not doing enough.
I think KC is jealous of anyone getting the attention he has been waiting for for over 70 years. I think he loved his 'mummy' but was waiting in the wings and has massive shoes to fill. I think his ego must be taking a battering for being ill less than a year into his reign and he can probably see that his reign will be a damp squib, an interregnum period between HMTLQE2 and William. I agree with others here he probably feels guilty for Harry's obvious mummy-daddy issues and has never properly dealt with them over the years and certainly doesn't know how to deal with him anymore, so he grey rocks.
I think it is disgusting that he didn't do a 'recollections may vary' statement when the Ho/Haz/Scabies insinuated Catherine was the racist. I think it is disgusting he hasn't made a statement to tell the press to fu*k off and leave Catherine alone to heal. This is the time he should be elevating and backing the PPoW, like a proud father holding up Simba on Pride Rock. He should be bloody proud and grateful for William and Catherine. He should be shouting from the rooftops about them. But he currently looks like he is ignoring them and leaving them to the wolves.
I think William has worked bloody hard on his mental health over the years and has likely properly engaged with therapy etc in the wake of losing his mother (unlike his brother). He took his time with Catherine, made sure she had enough time to decide this is the life she wanted. He has treated her like a, well, princess! He backs her up, doesn't appear to be jealous of the admiration that comes her way. He's a devoted father and family man. He actually served in the forces unlike Haz. He is personable and respectful when meeting the public. You can see he tries to emulate his grandmother's style of being a royal.
And yet right now he must be exhausted from the past 6 + years of Meghan's influence and Harry's breakdown. Yes, I think Harry is on a breakdown, I think he's on a long decline, what we have seen the past 6 years is him losing his mind, sense of reality and clearly he uses and abuses substances etc. Seeing that happen to your brother, that has to be taking a toll of William. He must also be frustrated that KC is keeping quiet about all the latest happenings, and he must be peed off that Smegs continues to get away with all her schemes.
With Catherine being ill, and seeing how people have been over a photo, I do worry for William because right now he must surely be feeling angry and annoyed that he and Catherine, good royals, are being attacked and unsupported whereas Harry continues to be allowed to continue his tirades etc.
KC's reign will go down as an embarrassing footnote in history.
I really wouldn't want to be William right now. I know he's not perfect, and he needs to get his PR house in order, and have the right staff around him, but I do think he can save the monarchy but he probably has to wait it out before he can make the changes he needs to make. I think for now he just needs to keep showing up, being personable, raise his family, etc and hope Harry and Smegs calm down eventually.
I really do wonder what will be the final nail in the coffin for H&M though. They are like cockroaches that never go away.
