Where is greta etc al to have a go at them over carbon footprints, when you need them to?I know it's not great that we are having to host 2 very odious individuals for the jubilee - my money was on them not coming - but here's a little consolation. My DH was in Northolt driving to a maintenance call around noon today. He was puzzled to see lots of police vans, motorcycle despatch risers and assorted other police officers busily closing roads. Not being a tattler, he asked himself who was so important that was visiting and coming in via a private airport. We'll he had nothing to do but wait and watch, as he was stuck in traffic and couldn't go anywhere. Eventually flashing lights and the police escort riders went past and they were escorting .... a giant horse box. Wouldn't it be lovely if their first view of old blighty was the rear end of a horse in a vehicle with no windows that reeks of manure.
