If Harry was a female member of the Royal Family and Meghan was male, Harry’s transformation (being skinny, unkempt, pulling away from his family) would have been seen as really negative. People would be up in arms.

I understand what greta is trying to do but why doesn't she now that she gotten a platform in which people listen to her, go to work alongside the climate scientists to work out a realistically affordable climate agenda to put in front of our politicians so a workable solution can be place. Rather than going around the country encouraging truancy and chaos to shout at people who may not share her views. Education is the best tool to encourage people change their ways.... Anger and force are not.
Great post, that is exactly what she should be doing! All this ugly crying about her childhood being stolen is quite frankly bullshit. As for all these bloody gatherings she's having, they should be at a weekend rather than encourage children to skip school and cause chaos for the workforce. WTF does that achieve? Most of them probably doing give a flying fig and just want the day off. What about the cost of the police escort and security she seemingly needs. Oh look Greta is arriving in an electric car, cool! Yes whilst being escorted by gas guzzing, fume spewing cop cars. A recent photo of her standing there clutching her iPhone is rather ironic. Give me strength.
And while I am on my high horse this morning, I'd like to see the long range plan for the recycling of electric vehicle batteries and the economic and environmental costs. Not to mention the plan to generate the electricity needed to run them when we are all forced to have one. Is the UK going to turn into one massive wind farm? I haven't really done any research on this yet.

Another one here who's sick and tired of all this racist nonsense. I didn't know Meghan was mixed race at first, and I liked her, and was happy for them both. Then I discovered she was mixed race, and it made no differnce to how I felt - I'm sure most of us thought the same way. Alot of the people she reaches out too are mostly doing it because it's an excuse for anarchy and to them that is cool. They probably don't give that much of a toss about climate change as the only way to travel pretty much carbon free is by walking and I sincerely doubt those people walked 100s of miles to listen to her spout her hatred for the world's governments. What really grinds my gears is that it's not all the government's fault but our own... We ask for cars (years ago most people travelled by bus or pony and trap, or walked. crude example I know but no less true) my 91 year old neighbour often said you had to go shopping on the high street with bags and bottles for most of your wares, you made your own clothes etc. Due to the fact the population wanted more convenience with these things. Plastic in production started, factories started mass production of clothes, food items etc that needed transported to massive supermarkets in petrol guzzling lorries. So we are just as accountable as the government and unless people want to go backwards then it will remain our fault. The purpose of the government is to fulfil the wish of the people. ( and although many people today do not believe this still remains true)
My friend has one. Blooming nightmare. She visited on New Year’s Eve. It does 60 miles on a charge in winter so had to find a charging point on her 60 mile drive to visit me.
she located the charging points in our area. Turned up the ne t day. New Year’s Day to find they had been switched off and no way she could speak to anyone. Charged the car up at my house for about three hours. Only got another 8 miles on it.
luckily on the way home, there was another town just a few miles away with a charging point that gave her a full charge for the rest of her journey in 20 minutes.
now can you imagine the sheer chaos it’s going to be when we all have electric cars and the amount of road rage when people get to a charge point to find they are 10 th in line or something. It’s bad enough queuing for petrol while the person in front has filled up but is inside buying coffee, going to the loo etc
This has not been properly thought through. Oh and in the summer, she gets 80 miles per charge. That’s for a Nissan leaf which came with a very hefty price tag.
itll be like going back to the ‘good old days’ when you had to go to a coaching inn to get a change of horses, or stay overnight while yours rested

Lol sorry but the whole climate change really grates me. It's not a new topic but loads of people seem to think it is... I remember the same stuff being talked about when I was a kid in the 90s. Things are improving but like everything they take time.

True that, if the tables were turned somebody would have stepped in by now for an intervention. How far does he have to descend before something is done. It’s no good waiting until it’s too late then saying we knew something was wrong. It’s easy to see he’s not 100% “thriving”.
