Lady C doesn’t believe he didn’t stand up for Camilla because he’s a wuss but because, back then, he wasn’t head over heels for her nor she for him. Their relationship had been fun but casual. He’d gone off with the Navy, she’d got married in the meantime, they’d become just very good friends. Once they started up again in 1986 (at least 3 years after Diana’s many affairs started btw), it became ever more meaningful between them and only did they evolve into the love of each other’s lives. It was only Diana’s paranoia, which was a symptom of her mental health conditions she’d suffered from since childhood, that convinced half the world C&C had been together all along.

The true guilty party in Diana and Charles’ marriage were the Spencer family, who promoted, pushed and encouraged the union at every step and never revealed to anyone just how damaged and messed up poor Diana was. Not that Diana herself didn’t want it badly too and did all sorts to engineer it, but she was mentally ill and they were the grown ups, the ones close to the throne who knew the pressures and demands and also knew she’d never cope with them in a million years. The Queen and Charles were utterly furious with them once they found out how badly they’d been deceived on every level.

I don’t believe Harry really knew his mother, not truly. He was away at school from 8, and his holidays with her were spent with her determined to be the most fun, the most loving, the best mum on earth. He was shielded from all the mess. Only William saw it all because she treated him as confidant. Diana was an astonishing, compassionate, charismatic person but she was incredibly ill and did more to deliberately damage and dismantle the monarchy’s image over 15 years than Smegs will ever manage. I’ll always think the greatest tragedy of her life was that in 95ish she’d begun working determinedly to sort her head out for the first time with true commitment and was in a healthier place than ever before by the summer she died. I’d have liked to see where her life led and I think H would have had a much more realistic picture of her, rather than the magic pedestal he’s got her on now.
My post which you quoted was in answer to a question why is Charles perceived as being a weak link.

I merely explained why a lot of people see him that way.

@Kittypops Regarding the pic in the hallway with HMTQ, PP, H+FW and the inmate

I am/was convinced it is photoshopped. @Yeltsins looked over it when I insisted and said it ain't. Problem is, I still think it is. Tell you why: When they showed the press the doll, she was wearing the beige trenchcoat dress and ridiculously high heeled nude shoes. Then they allegedly met HMTQ + PP in the hallway and miracle over miracle the inmate was lurking there too. HFW is taller than the inmate, especially when wearing heels, now she is in the front, the inmate in the background, yet the inmate looks taller than HFW. How is this possible? Apart from the countless coincidences like PP there and not in Sandringham, HMTQ there in the hallway, the inmate hanging around the same spot because BP is so small they just had to run into one another right there... But HFW and the inmate with the inmate being taller even though she is standing behind HFW???? Nah, I can't wrap my head around it. I can see why @YeltsinsTank says it isn't photoshopped. One of the things I see is HFW hair has whispers/strands where you can see the inmates shawl or dress behind, but still, it doesn't make sense. At least to me.
It doesn't look real, does it?

I’m not really sure if they were that warm to him. To me it looked like he tried to insert himself next to them as closely as possible. I think they were civil because the eyes of the world were on them. Some of the papers saying that Catherine walked ahead to give them space to talk. I just thought she couldn’t get away from him fast enough!
Especially as Sophie Wessex seemed to hang back to give her an escape route. That’s how I read it anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks for new thread and great title.
I have a feeling the press have been leaned on not to cover Harry's antics at the funeral. He arrived, immediately kicked off about wearing a uniform, then presumably kicked off again about walking in a line with Peter Philips (who walked a few steps behind when they were supposed to be three abreast), then swapped sides to be behind William entering the church, ignored the Archbishop of Canterbury and sprinted up to blatantly grab a photo-op with William. Then we get non-stop PR about Harry's non-existent 'summits' to talk about himself and his demands, literally hours after his grandfather was buried.

He's not the full shilling, is he?

Meanwhile, security at Windsor Lodge let in 'female guest' of Prince Andrew who is now being described as a stalker.

I like the fact that security staff thought she looked polished because she was wearing a peach jacket and yellow blouse - that's never been a good colour combination - not even in the 80's! She was arrested for stalking but it should have been for crimes against fashion!

ETA - is this a PR setup do you think, to continue the poor persecuted Prince Andrew theme? In his attempt to wheedle his way back into favour?

Happy Birthday Ma’am.

A lockdown silver lining is so few opportunities for people to meet HMTQ so only the few can spend time with her.

For Hazza to have left already is poignant as unless he comes back for key events or en famille soon, he may have seen his grandmother for the last time.

I think HMTQ is a resilient strong woman & her health seems to be good, but she is clearly an elderly woman.
I saw her about 18 months ago at a formal ceremony, she is lively & on the ball, yet frail.
The brutal reality is that she may not be with us for much longer :(

I am saddened that Hazza has packed up so quickly after the funeral.
MM is not ill, just very pregnant.
She has her mother with her, the best of medical care available & her unassailable self-belief to see her through whilst he is away.
He could well stay for a week or so more to spend time with his family, friends & supporters to build bridges & lay firmer foundations for the future.
This is not unreasonable, after all many of his fellow servicemen are away when their wives are heavily pregnant & give birth. I am disappointed that his military service has not given him better insight into other people’s lives & what the art of what is possible.

His early departures smacks of haste, immaturity & fear.
He’s turned his back on all those people who have given him so much over the years.
Not a good look.

Longtime lurker here!🙋🏻‍♀️
I wonder who the source is for this article...
At that funeral, two of them looked absolutely devastated and one generally bored. And we're supposed to believe they suddenly stopped being upset and turned on JCMH. Oh duck off and go away. You lost and no one believes you

The woman flew in from Spain on Saturday, announced she was PA girlfriend and security let her in. Oh come on now ...

1. I thought UK borders were shut, supposedly

2. Shouldn't she have gone into quarantine

3. If, and a big if, security thought for a minute that she was telling the truth, why didn't they check with Andrew; why didn't they escort her to him; why didn't they think Andrew would have mentioned he was expecting a visitor.

I think something is fishy here and I'd be checking out airport security arrangements, not to mention palace security.

It has to be something like a PR stunt surely. As the poor women has been sectioned it just proves you couldn't be feeling 100 percent if you fancied and stalked Andrew.

I am still flummoxed by PAndrew being touted as HMTQ’s favourite.

I can see as a boisterous child he may have been some fun for his parents, their very own ‘Just William’.
But as an adult he’s boorish, self-opinionated with a cracked moral compass. It’s not just his dodgy affiliation with Epstein, there are alleged charges lurking about corruption & financial misconduct.

His recent bolt forward to present himself as a man of honour & substance do not distinguish him or move the dial of disgrace in his favour.

I forget now. Was it Charles who decided that everyone should walk back after the funeral? I'm wondering if that was planned so William and Kate were filmed being civil to H. That way as pp said,Harry can't say he was ignored or given a hard time by the RF?

Sorry for not being clear but I meant Warm as in how some of the PR articles described it. Yes, most of us tattlers saw it differently but nevertheless I was hoping it will be difficult for him to prove being frozen out.

But it’s okay for Harry and his wife to ambush his whole family on Oprah?!?!
The article mentions if the family want to make amends they can return the titles, money and security as a start....the absolute cheek of them! They walked away, they are not entitled to it!! And of course there is another dig at Catherine in there....Harry’s wife is clearly so mad at all the positive press Catherine is getting

So will henry be quarantining now he is back in USA? Or do covid rules not apply to him.
He might prefer a few days on his own before he has to deal with the wife, she is probably not happy that he didnt come back laden down with checks, titles, and a huge interitance.
Countdown for next PR slating of RF starts now.

Let's be honest, those Windsor security guards are used to letting in ladies in peach blouses for 'special appointments' with Prince Andrew..... This one happened to be a nutter, not a hooker.

Massive security fail but brought about by Andrew's peccadillos. And not for the first time.
