If they had stopped after the dreadful interview, most of the public would've still felt sympathetic, I think. But because they are completely unable to do that - I think they are literally incapable of not blurting out more and more to whoever - they are already starting to lose popularity. The more they speak, the more they show their true selves.

I disagree. The interview was the most sickening display of arrogance, lies, self pity, professional victimhood and narcissism. If anyone bought their story and felt sorry for them, I immediately write them off, emotional intellect and common sense wise.

My theory is that most of us normal types are so discombobulated by all this... mess that we have to keep going over old ground in order to try and make some sense out of something somewhere?

Only most of these posts read more like their writers were too lazy to read older threads, barging in asking stuff the umpteenth time and don't know how to use google.

I've give up reading the last four or so threads because of this. It is hard enough to stay current when things take up speed like they did last week. When threads get spammed with questions people ask because they can't be bothered to search themselves, it gets impossible to keep up.

This interview shocked me really badly and I have no patience for rehashing stuff we've already discussed ad nauseam.

I haven't heard bad things about Clare... on the contrary. However this doesn't surprise me . If it was a factor in her removal, possibly, but I had heard that the merching that Meghan was doing on the back of Givenchy kit was made clear to BP and then by BP to Arnault who saw it as the total opposite of how to PR a luxury brand and Clare got blamed. She fled to hwr country home in Cornwall and basically hasn't worked or even tried to return to London or Paris even though her twins are just under 10, I believe. I don't know if she will ever work again.
None of the other stuff surprises me. I seem to remember seeing a scuffle between the 3 kids that George seemed to be trying to manage as they were walking down the aisle behind the twins.
Also Kate was displaying super protective body language towards charlotte especially after the ceremony.
Also the constant changing of their minds.... sound familiar? The lady who headed the gospel choir that sang Stand By Me said exactly the same thing and that she was totally stressed out. Her words were inches from flat out saying that H&M were a fucking nightmare. I believe this story in full and if a Givenchy employee was slapped by M and it wasn't reported/handled appropriately, then 1) Clare would have 100percent gotten fired for it and 2) see a theme here,,, again? Except here is Maison Givenchy and not BP

What an absolutely foul bitch if these are true which funnily enough I’m inclined to believe they are. This goes beyond smugness and rudeness, this is psychotic. Meghan is 1/4 irish. I remember someone doing her genealogy before the wedding. It has never been mentioned since. I remember it caused a real jovial stir at the time because it was portrayed she was 1/4 WOC and 1/4 Irish.
As a genealogist I remember quickly looking and it's less than a 1/4 but considering the day that is in it, I shall go look for it.

Bashed for pointing out a solid fact. What a time to be alive.

Markle's heritage showed when she was a kid and teen, before she'd straightened her hair chemically and had her nose narrowed and refined with surgery. You can totally see it in pictures of her as a kid. As an adult actress she has groomed and sutured herself to remove any trace of her black heritage, and that's just a fact. She kept her already light complexioned 'black' skin pale, her hair as straight and Caucasian-like as possible, and put 'Caucasian' on her acting CV, as well as doing stuff earlier such as joining a mostly white sorority as opposed to the black one on her campus.

I had no idea who she was when she first appeared in the UK press as H's fiancee. and at a glance she just looked to me like another straight-haired, dyed haired white girl with obvious extensions and maybe a spray tan. In otherwords, a type pretty commonplace over here. Pretty much everyone I know assumed the same. It came as a surprise (of little interest at the time) that she was OMG BLAAAAAAAAAAAACK! i.e has a white father and a partially black mother.

On Australian Sky News (the only coverage I’ve been able to stomach watching) they pointed out that the press and public tide turned when they started bleating on about carbon emissions and global warming, but were the royals travelling most often on private jets. M going to New York for her baby shower and flying on the Clooney’s jet, something like that.

It’s so true. The coverage/public opinion only really started to change after that point, ie their own behaviour not some vague racism claims. If it was racism, wouldn’t she have been treated poorly right from the start? Add to that that she appears to be 100% white but wearing bronzer so it wouldn’t be that anyway

I'd had my doubts about them since Eugenie's wedding, but that was the turning point for me. Archie being too young to fly up to Balmoral but not too young to fly to Ibiza and to Elton's place. And Harry coming out with all that guff about how he had to travel on private jets for his family's security, while the Cambridges went up to Scotland on FlyBe.
