How interesting!
Im sad for King Charles, any kind of cancer is tough, even more so at his age! I wonder what kind of cancer he has? And what stage it is at?

I wonder what on earth Harold is playing at? Is he here to show his respects to his father who isnt well? If so its in massive contrast to his behaviour towards Queen Elizabeth when she was so ill at the end of her life!
Is all of this press coverage because Harold has released it?

And how amusing that Charles seems to have had such a brief meeting with his son, who had travelled so far to see him! And how funny that William is briefing that he doesnt have any intention of meeting up with his brother!

Daily Mail now reporting on the COS situation.

Counsellors of State are all members of the Royal Family and two or more members can carry out Royal functions at a time.

This would be the King's partner and the next four in line to the throne who have reached the age of 21: Queen Camilla, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Sussex, The Duke of York and Princess Beatrice.

However, in 2022, the Royal Household said this would only apply to working royals.

Therefore, in the event of incapacity, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Princess Anne and Prince Edward would support the King.

maybe they used C3's being unwell to lure harry back. Intervention, desensitization, detoxification (not necesserily in this order).

Dear God Charles can’t really turn his back on chemo etc can he? I’m all for a good diet and I’m sure cutting down on sugar and booze can’t hurt but if vegetables could cure cancer we’d all be eating mountains of Kale!

If a homeopathic doctor tells him not to get chemo, he should change doctors.

My (allopathic) family doctor shares a clinic room with a homeopathic doctor. They refer patients to each other as and when required (they volunteer at a charitable organisation so they're not making any money off this). She's supposed to start treating me for chronic bronchitis (it can only be managed, not cured), but he'll deal with me whenever I get pneumonia or any acute infections.

For stuff like cancer they'd both tell the patient to get chemo, and try alternative medicine systems (mainly natural remedies) only to build immunity and mitigate the side effects.

The doctors practising these systems know very well that alternative remedies aren't fast-acting at all and have limitations. At the same time, allopathic medicines have limited effectiveness against certain conditions and can actually cause harm/build drug resistance, so they advise accordingly. Unless someone's in their last few weeks or days or have conditions when radiation or chemo would do more harm than good, they'll definitely push for these treatments.

Smegs and Charles will destroy whatever little credibility that the alternative medicine systems (and they do work or are the only option of thousands/lakhs of people who don't have easy access to allopathic treatments) have with their half-baked quacks

So not even a cup of tea or a glass of Ribena then? If he arrived at 16.21 - by the time he was out of the car and reached KC's rooms it was likely to be almost 16.30 ... so about 15 mins

I wonder if Harry was late and pissed off KC or if KC orchestrated things to only have a brief visit with Harry? By all accounts several hours passed between him leaving the airport and arriving at CH for a journey that should take 30-50 minutes (especially with police escort) so it seems Harry went elsewhere enroute

Harry is clearly persona non grata to the RF - the Scooby book calling KC a racist must have been the final straw

I’m really glad it was such a short visit and that it’s really the press bigging up a reconciliation rather than an actual thawing. Hopefully he’ll be on his way soon after getting a nice big bill from his lawyers

Good point

Well exactly. Know who else has just announced (not merely projected) a jewellery line? 16 year old Princess Andre. Not exactly the route you’d expect t from a royal duchess who’s living her best, rolling in dish life, is it?

There was a rare denial from palace sources that the stories about William and the CoE were even true - tbh it sounded like more internal church politics

Maybe he expects Charles to pay his air fare although in fact he was coming over anyway to speak to the lawyers about all his ongoing cases.
I was just pondering the question of who's paying for the flights.

We know Sparry's tight as a duck's arse so it can't be him.

I give it a 24 hour turnaround. Blink and gone.

If KC wanted to make an unspoken statement about how short the visit was…then a very obvious arrival with police escort by Harry would fit the plan. Then, make sure to wave to the public to bookend how soon KC and QC left after he showed up. Very obvious Harry arrival and very obvious Pa departure.

Well done!

I wonder how long the RF have known how ill King Charles is?

I am terrible with conspiracy theories! My first thought when I heard the news was I wonder if this was why Catherine and William have been absent for the past few weeks? To give them the chance for a private holiday before William has to step up and take over a lot of his fathers duties!!!
Hopefully I am completely wrong!

And re chemo etc........Surely a lot depends on what kind of cancer Charles has, and what stage it is at? He is in his 70s, he looks relatively healthy but might have all kinds of health issues. Chemo can be brutal.
Ive had friends who chose to not use chemo, because they didnt find out that they had cancer, until the later stages, and they felt that chemo would just delay the inevitable, and leave them feeling awful for the last few months of their life! Towards the end of his life, My dad had prostrate cancer, and although they did treat him for it, and monitor it, they didnt give him chemo, because he was too old!
Id always suggest chemo for younger people, but maybe its not always suitable for older patients?

I hope he brought his Elizabeth Arden cream with him
Maybe he was hoping to borrow some? 'He' did obsess over Catherine not lending her lipgloss to Smegs (who knows where her mouth had been!) in his Whingetome
