Good morning Tattlers. I came across a blog called The Crowns of Britain which I like a lot. It's funny and perceptive and the blogger clearly thinks the gruesome twosome are prats. What's not to like?!

I came across this on the blog which I'd not heard of before.
(The memorial carol service was, I think, in memory of Henry van Straubenzee who died in a car crash in 2002 aged 18.)

How disgustingly shocking. She's definitely not right in the head.

I have to say, in this case, if I'm reading correctly I think it's unfair to say that it's 'disgustingly shocking' and 'she's not right in the head' to be said about Meghan.
These Carol Services ,from what I have read, happen every year raising funds to raise funds in Uganda and in 2018 Meghan and she gave a reading If she herself chose the reading I do not know but I can't see what i wrong with that. There is nothing that I have seen she gave a speech , mentioned Diana at this event but please correct me if I'm wrong.

A few things about this Netflix deal. Their own PR could only say it was a 'Megawatt' deal (meaningless fluff) and didn't attach any numbers to it. I notice they had to wheel out useful Honorary Professor and Purveyor of bullshit Jonathan Shalit to say 'Oooh I dunno could be billions.' so that the their PR could then quote him to shape the press headlines and make a big splash.

I think Netflix have simply got first look at anything they actually manage to make. Maybe there's a signing pre-payment to fund their first documentary? If there's something planned around Megxit/Finding Freedom, Netflix will get eyeballs from that.

Netflix have amazingly good audience tracking so they will know immediately if the Harkles documentaries work for their membership and won't be influenced by their fluffy PR.

I'm very unimpressed by the lack of focus in the announcement, which seems to be mental health, racism, sexism, cartoons, women in history and inspirational family-friendly programming. Just missing a cuddly toy and the kitchen sink. No sign of any of the things that Prince Harry could credibly pitch which would be woven around Veterans / Invictus / Sentebale / Royal History.

I don't see the Harkles making money from this because they have zero ability to control costs and work with a team. By the time Megz has flown by private jet to Cannes for 'research purposes' a few times, they'll soon run through the advance. Meanwhile the supposed Netflix multimillionaires are posting merching PR for Rothys shoes, so something doesn't add up.

I bet the queen is absolutely fuming at the stupid ginger bleep for accepting this deal, the moment he starts talking about his family on this documentary I hope the queen gives him a right earful. I so wish Diana were here meghan would still be on her knees suxking some casting director off for a job in Hollywood

If it was done well, I might like to watch docu on these topics, Partly because i want some open discussion about them., .not just a one sided......I am right you are wrong style of presentation! Which is why I dont think her Meghaness and Hazno are going to do a decent job!

There is a lot of stuff about the difference between female empowerment now.....and the way female empowerment was seen in the 60s and 70s and I would be fascinated to see a docu exploring this. As a child, it was all about burning your bra the Greenham common women, and women wearing dungarees and no make up, and not needing a man to succeed.

Now its about women choosing to be what I would see as sex objects for their own gratification and using men.....

And you could do an interesting docu on women politicians and covid...thinking of scotland and NZ for example!! But not by her meghaness and hazno..

I'd quite possibly watch a documentary on Oman and Walking with the Wounded. But this is all stuff that Harry could have done with an experienced BBC/ITV team.

Meghan presenting a documentary about family bonds or feminism is pure Alan Partridge territory.

ETA The RF would never have a better moment to declare the Harkle are now fully independent grown ups without titles who pay their own bills.

They are in a bit of a bind though with documentaries on Oman and walking with the wounded, as these are pretty British centric productions!

I cant imagine them particularly appealing to Netfix and a USA audience? I wonder if this deal with Netflix will prevent or limit any more documentary style things with BBC or ITV? Like the ITV Africa tour or potential media coverage of the invictus games?

What will be interesting to see, is if Meghan and Harry are intelligent enough to accept the advice from, pay for and use the services of experienced documentary makers, or if they are going to stay true to form think they know best!

Slightly changing the subject...I read a post somewhere with a screenshot over the weekend (can't remember where now) relating to smegs two UK court cases pending saying they had been 'updated on 28/8'. The poster thought that sounded a bit suspicious. Does anyone know what that could mean or is that just standard stuff?
