Thinking further about this. She has an induction, and an epidural , then gives birth and then is sitting at home 2 hours later. Would this be Frogmore cottage ? How long does it take to get from the Portland Hospital to Windsor ?

It’s not too far. About an hour, hour and a half. Maybe more if rush hour. Police escorts are common place up the m4 though.

Similar experience here - I was transported from birth room to post-natal ward on a hospital bed. Was not able to sit upright, and definitely not able to walk for several hours.

Yes, but you obviously haven’t read H’s eulogies. Seals sing to her, she’s magical. Stands to reason she has a magical fanny that produces babies accompanied by sparkles and fairy dust.

For me there was one more piece of unfinished business.

just wondering if any one has had an epidural while giving birth? its just that I had one many years ago and despite my baby being born just before 8pm I couldn't move my legs at 6 the next morning, now I realise that medical science will have come on over the years but I just find it strange the the Ho had an epidural while giving birth to Archie then manage to be home a couple of hours later!

Yep had one a year ago. Baby born at 3pm, catheter couldn’t come out until 3am and as a previous poster mentioned had to pass a certain amount of fluid before being discharged (5pm). So more than 24 hours in a very very very busy NHS hospital (and I had no complications).

Now that I've finally read the book, I think it's time to say what I think about it.

The book has 3 parts:

Part 1 Out of the Night That Covers Me

Part 2 Bloody, but Unbowed

Part 3 Captain of My Soul

The first part describes the period between the death of his mother and February 2007.

The second part mostly describes events from the army, but also the period after that, that is, until July 2016.

The third part begins when he sees the most beautiful woman ever on Instagram until the death of Queen Elizabeth.

While reading this book, I somehow got the impression that each part was written by a different person.

Especially the part where he describes how he and the perfect woman met, fell in love and married.

I was struck that apparently he was ""surprised that his security was going to be pulled in Canada . This was all discussed a the Sandringham summit which is why our so clever belated queen E2 said give it a year an we will review. NO said them.

Now in the book ( thanks for posting Anna - cos I ain't buying that crap ) he says he phoned around for security and filled a note book (oooh!). and it was looking like costing 6 million dollars a year. ( hence IPP which has gone v quite, perhaps he got turned down ?) So, his overheads are astronomical, and I would imagine they would run through circa $50 million dollars a year, sooo.... they haven't got very much to keep them solvent have they ?

Also, apparently, Sentablale is going to get 1.5 Million, ( actually the book credits that they've already been paid this ). I would give a good generous donation to Shelter and Crisis ( again cos I did that for Christmas instead of cards ). that they haven't received anything. If they do get something it will be a reduced amount. WellChild is getting £300k by all accounts. I would love anybody in these charities to confirm they actually got these payments, I"m not sure Sentable will get their "promised " donation. Another Amber Herd. Pledged but not given. imho

Final comment which gave him a really bad vibe, is apparently they have rowed back on the Racism and loving lady Hussey and wanting reconciliation with his brother and father is because ...................They want back into RF

Honestly, can you imagine after all this KC3 welcoming them both back , can you imagine the carnage. Will & Kate/Sophie/Anne ??
It gives them another opportunity to collect and gather gossip to "write " another "book " !!
