My heart hurts for William after seeing his speech... He may be our future King, but he was also her son and the pain/grief was evident in his speech, even all these years later.

One thing I do know though - I will be proud to see him as King. Our monarchy is safe with him and Catherine.

It'll annoy Meglomaniac mostly. Charlotte looks like William and William looks like Di.
I will laugh and laugh if Charlotte grows up to look just like Di. Whether Smeggy is still married to Prince William’s Idiot Brother or not, it would annoy the crap out of her.

William came over as Statesmanlike.
Harry came over as a mardy arse.

No change there, then.

What a statement.
Points I noted

1. throughout he says MY mother. Such a change...
2. talks of a false negative that was “commercialised by the BBC or OTHERS” <<< must be a dig???

To me, not only is this brilliant at explaining his personal position and the position of the RF, but MY GOD it also has a lot of thinly veiled points for his brother....this isn’t the truth - the truth you beleive from the media about our mother isn’t true -here is your proof - drop it...

Lets see what happens. His brother’s statement is so so lame - but interestingly he writes “our mother” - first time I’ve heard that change, throughout his media war it’s been my mother hasn’t it??? (Could be wrong, but I feel very much like PWB always tries to imply he’s the only real son of Diana).

I think that was a pointed remark directed at Tom Bradby and ITV because they have sort of sided with Harry.

I don't know what he meant by a false negative though???????

oh I need to watch on TV - am sure it will all be on ad infitum. But I said this on the last thread: Diana would not have died if she hadnt got into a car with a drunk/drugged (allegedly) driver, and she'd put her seatbelt on. Doesnt mean that Bashir isnt a tit of course.
There is now an argument that she would have trusted the RF to provide security if the BBC hadn't lied and told her they were against her and feeding info back to the press and the RF.
There's still no proof he was drunk but an RF driver and RF security would have been better managed and equipped to avoid a high speed chase.

I noticed that - my mother, reclaiming her and speaking for himself alone. And Harry with our mother - now he wants to share?

“unquestionably honest” 🙄 no sweetie she wasn’t. She would lie when it suited her (just like the rest of the +7billion people on this planet)

he really is obsessed with ‘life of service’ and ‘protecting’ people isn’t he?

Also, thanks for the new thread and great title ❤

I think the point they are making is that Bashir‘s lies fed into her paranoia so she didn’t know who to trust. This led to her refusing royal protection officers, who would never have allowed her to get into a car with a drunk driver, would have made her wear a seat belt and would not have been speeding.

So Harry’s statement is claiming Diana lost her life because of the “culture of exploitation and unethical practices”
Didn’t stop him letting Oprah exploit him for that interview though did it? What about her unethical practice of manipulating press headlines to make the press look racist?
How can you claim an interview ultimately led to your mother’s death and then allow yourself to do the same thing- the interview was produced by the woman who broadcast pictures of Diana dying in the car too.

1997: Diana driver was 'drunk and speeding'
The driver of the car in which Princess Diana was fatally injured had criminal levels of alcohol in his blood and may have been travelling at over 100 mph (161 km/h), French investigators have revealed.
The Prosecutors' Office in Paris said Henri Paul had three times the French legal limit of alcohol in his blood - the equivalent of double the British limit or 10 glasses of wine.

MY mother - William is no longer speaking for them both. Poor Hawwy has become persona non grata. He’s been cut adrift and Wills no longer includes him. Hawwy now using OUR mother...perhaps the realisation they are being iced out is stinging and now suddenly he wants to be ‘us’ again?

I thought William's statement was very powerful, and he delivered it extremely well.

PWB's statement, however, was just much of a muchness

Honestly Harry needs to look closer to home, isn’t his wife doing to him the same as Bashir did to Diana? All the manipulation and lies causing paranoia about the press and his family

he is obsessed with the words because his wife is claiming a narrative. In reality, he does neither of those things! Dishonest What Freda Says

You can find many statements saying the opposite. There's cctv of him tying his shoelaces without wobbling and the hotel ccctv doesnt show him drinking enough to be drunk . You can't find any statements saying she would have died if wearing a seatbelt.
