Do you think she knows that the whole world is laughing at her? Especially since the news of the money grab book came out.
And there's a bit in Lady C's book about dinner parties where they would apparently refuse to abide by the seating plan (mixing up couples), insist on sitting together and then spend the evening pawing at each other at the table while ignoring everyone else. Something along those lines.

The world is laughing at her/them because its racist, sexist, and a patriarchy.
There is nothing wrong with her, nothing was ever wrong with Harry. This terrible world is just full of malice, media misinformation and the people attacking them are jealous of their success, they attack them without knowing them (even when there is a horses mouth version out there) and can't cope with change, because they singlehandedly modernised the Monarchy and made the world a better place, via Netflix.
One needs a special mind to be the Harkles, sadly there are many others like them.

he was a complete disgrace, a stain on his shoulder very visible, and he could have had a hair cut and shaved the neck hair, and it looks as if his suit wasn't pressed either. On the plus side, it must mean that he had no palace staff assisting and clearing up after him. He really did look rough.

I guess this is referring to Catherine St Laurent who left Gates after working there for years and went to work for the Harkles. She left the Harkles within a year.
